A Five Star property truly worthy of the title. Not only is the hotel spectacular the location is chic and in a neighborhood that is classy and elegant. A two minute walk from the Prado or Retiro Park makes this more of an experience that a hotel.

If you love spanish food then you have to visit San Miguel Market. Located right off Plaza Mayor it has some of the best food sampling in all of Madrid. There is no seating. Difficult to find in most Madrid Guides but one of the best things I saw there! You must go around sunset it is so beautiful and underrated! Enjoy the adjoining park and all of the fabulous people watching.
This is absolutely something you have to do when in Madrid. Churros are a Spanish tradition dipped in a chocolate so thick a spoon will stand up in it. It is delicious and fairly inexpensive at about 3 euros per person.
Wow! This was the largest gathering of people I have ever seen in one place! Not so good if you are claustrophobic. This is the largest flea market in Europe. It is divided into sections (food,shoes,clothing). I have been twice and still haven't seen it all. You WILL lose your friends......more
