There's nothing stranger to me that an entire museum based off of a flawed ship design that caused a national pride tragedy. I thought I would have been a little worn out at the end, but instead found myself entranced by the story and the history. Great for history buffs and sailing fiends!...more
Such a cool aquarium! Each room took on the natural environment of the fish, meaning that one room was hot and humid. It was however a little smaller than I expected. It's is sure to be a hit with the kids and marine life lovers!
Stunning! I wanted to go inside and trekked over inches of ice to get there only to find out it was closed! I managed however to circle the building and found the architecture and craftsmanship alone to be very compelling.
I spent 2 hours in this museum. Kind of an odd premise (it's basically about a warship that sank right outside the harbor while on its way to Poland). It was interactive and a great place for foreigners like us to get into some Swedish history....more
Incredible. It's huge! Although, there were parts of the architecture (which appeared to be some sort of revival style) that I did not love. Unfortunately I believe this is a palace one cannot enter. The Swedish Guard are fun to look at too, in case you wanted to know! ;)...more
Great area with beautiful architecture and historic houses! Spent most of my time in Stockholm wandering the streets here. It's conveniently located in the middle of the city, making it easy to get to.
Beautiful city, even when covered in inches of ice! It has that Scandinavian look too, with the brightly colored houses (like you see in Gamla Stan). I loved the layout of small islands interlaced together.
