Great pizza, especially by the slice! The individual pieces are basically a quarter of a pizza for around $2 for cheese. Great food, good prices, friendly people!
This hotel is probably one of the most unique you'll ever find, with themed rooms ranging from Victorian to a dragon's den to a motorcycle motif. Rates aren't cheap, but it is guaranteed to be a visit you'll remember.
In the winter, Bretton Woods offers fantastic skiing, especially if you prefer mountains with wide, straight trails. The snow is always well-groomed, even in less than perfect weather. In the summer you will find zip lines, rock climbing, golf and so much more. There is definitely something here for everyone!
Not the same upper crust chain that you'll find in Boston, but a great little place all the same. Located close to the outlets and just off the highway.
This "experience" is so many things at once: a factory tour, a hands on opportunity with new products, a look at the company's history, and a lesson in how crayons are made. Very fun and interesting for kids and adults.
The gardens are beautiful and definitely worth a quick visit, but probably aren't the type of place you can spend more than an hour or so.
Although it isn't the largest zoo you will ever visit, it is easily one of the best. The exhibits are well organized and the habitats maintain a nice balance of comfort for the animals as well as good viewing for visitors. Interesting and informative for all ages!
This is a super cute park, with plenty for the whole family to enjoy! It is a bit pricey if I remember correctly, but overall it's a fun place to spend a day with the kids.
This is a great stop for families, especially if you decide to skip the Hershey's theme park. The "tour" is cute, if a little bit of a gimmick, and the free chocolate at the end is worth taking any free tour!
Did you know that kosher Chinese restaurants even existed? I didn't! But it was great to have an option aside from the typical kosher delis when a Jewish friend came to visit. The food is good, and typical for an American Chinese restaurant (just don't look for the pork dishes) and the service was very friendly. Great location on Harvard Street in Brookline, although the restaurant itself is on the smaller side.
My wine tasting experience at Ravenswood was more friendly and informal than many of the other vineyards I visited. The setting is cosy and picturesque, and the wines themselves are outstanding. This should definitely be a stop on any wine tasting tour in Sonoma.
It's sad, but the mural is a thing of the past! Previously located on the exterior wall of the Merrimack Restaurant, candidates would stream through here during election season. Unfortunately the Merrimack closed and is now a Portland Pie, and the wall that held the historic mural is now just another wall of windows.
If you come to Gauchos, come hungry! The all you can eat restaurant sends different meats directly to your table, but the salad bar and soups should not be overlooked either! Great food and a fun atmosphere.
Every event I've attended with Tidewater Catering has been a huge hit. The food is delicious and they offer an incredible variety of unique dishes - but are flexible to the event and always willing to work with you for the perfect menu. They recently opened a cafe in the Millyard that makes a perfect lunch spot.
While it seems like there have been a lot of Mexican restaurants popping up downtown lately, don't miss Dos Amigos for a quick bite. Quality food, good prices and friendly service.
La Carreta is a local favorite for Mexican food, as well as for students looking to practice their Spanish! The location makes it easy to overlook, but this is a restaurant worth finding.
