This is one of the great cities and capitals of Europe and is not to be missed. Now that East & West Berlin are back together it is doubly terrific. It is not an expensive city to eat or stay in. The transportation system is one of the best we have used. Go, you will like it....more
This is billed as the "Largest Chocolaterie in the World" It has a restaurant, cafe and shop with a tremendous array of chocolate items. They also have demos and a dinner show. If you like chocolate you have entered the mother ship.
This is a very nice small hotel in an up and coming area of Berlin. The rooms are good size and very clean, you will get some noise from the street. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is good. Convenient public transportation links the hotel with the rest of the city....more
The location of the Hilton is very good. The subway is close (we took the subway from the airport) and a number of tourist sites are within walking distance. Typical great breakfast and very nice rooms. There is even a tremendous chocolate shop almost next door....more
This is the second largest department store in Europe - "Department Store of the West" It has 2 large food floors - the biggest we have ever seen. The have stations were you can eat almost any type of food you could want. We had dinner at the German food section and the portions were enormous....more
Get the Berlin museum pass and go to this area and you can spend several days viewing some of the best of Berlin. We went to the museums and just spent time looking at the best of each to save time and still see the things that we wanted to experience....more
This was a fun place to see especially for The Mighty Wurlitzer Theater organ. The Museum holds over 3,500 musical instruments from the 16th century onward and is one of the largest and most representative musical instrument collections in Germany.
This is great you go to Pergamon in Turkey and the original Great Altar is here. This is one major piece of architecture in the building to see and experience. The museum is in an area called museum island and it is worth it to get the museum pass so that you can visit the ones you like and just see the good...more
