One of the most beautiful places of worship I have been and so many historic figures are buried here. Entry is prohibitively expensive (over 20 pounds, I reckon), but it's free if you go for service. Timings on the website
The best museum in London, with amazing medieval triptychs and a good selection of Flemish Masters, including the iconic Arnolfini Marriage by Jan Van Eyck. Lot of Leonardo here, too. Great bookstore...the one downstairs is bigger.
OK, it's just a train station but what I like about it is that you can actually go shopping and get a haircut here without having to step outside. There's an Orange shop for mobiles, Accessorize, Monsoon, M&S Food, and Toni & Guy. It's brilliant. Like a high street. Only...more
