The name of this place is actually pretty hilarious if you understand the context. They are a donut shop (obviously) in the middle of a party district. So what? Well, they're open in the mornings like every respectable donut shop should be, but they're also open late at night when the area is full of partygoers. Now, think about the name of this place and tell me these people don't know their customers...
Delicious! Absolutely delicious. It came highly recommended by a local, and I'm so glad we went. I'd never really had Brazilian food, so I picked the "barbeque" on the menu. No, it wasn't actually barbeque, but it was as Brazilian as barbeque is American. Can't remember the name, but it's the most-ordered thing they have (for a reason). The coffee bar is pretty diverse and you can have as many cups as you can stand to drink. This is a great place for breakfast or brunch, and I'm sure that lunch and dinner are equally wonderful.
I really couldn't find anything wrong with this hotel. It was immaculate and opulent, so I'm sure it would be a fine place to stay if I had the money. But it does seem a little too out of my price range. That wouldn't matter for many people, so they're the ones I recommend looking into it. The area of town is very nice, and there is plenty to keep you busy if you should find yourself wandering out of the hotel. The in-home restaurant is very nice, and it has a nice view of that particular part of town. The bar is also on-par with the quality of the place, though it was hard to tell if it was open because it was so dark (which is exactly the way people like it, I'm sure). The staff was courteous and attentive, and I felt welcome as soon as I set foot in the door. I'd definitely stay there, assuming I had a good reason.
This hotel is place right in the heart of uptown, and you can feel it the moment you see it. Though the exterior is (appropriately) aged, the interior is modern and refined. The lobby is small, but the bar takes up enough to space to make up for it. There are plenty of meeting rooms, which are big enough for a medium-sized gathering. The in-home restaurant is very nice and serves up some tasty meals. My sister used to live across the street, and we would find ourselves in there occasionally. They are building a residence next door to this hotel that is supposed to be related, which means more locals will be floating around. That makes sense because this hotel makes you feel like a local even in an exclusive neighborhood such as this.
I'm sure this is a good place to stay. I'm just sure of it. After all, it has the word "suites" in the title. So that means the rooms have got to be better than average, right? Well, maybe. If the rest of the hotel says anything, then the rooms are probably your average suites. Which means they're more than bedrooms (and that's about it). The hotel was fine, the staff was nice, and the restaurant was just as expected. But I didn't get the feeling that it was anything special (or horrible). It was clean and well-kept, but I just wasn't blown away like I expected. I'm sure it would be fine for a family, business people, or just about anyone that just wants a nice place to fall asleep.
