This was my favorite spot during my weekend trip. My buds and I ate here 3 times! Two brunches and a dinner. Downstairs is a cool nautical bar and upstairs is a really nice space. One of the larger hotels in the area with a ginormous lobby...with a piano in it...if you are so inclined to entertain. Rooms are nice and clean. During Summer months rates are pricey. Great location with tons of restaurants and bars nearby.
This turned out to be a nicer beach then I expected. The water is a bit cold but it was clean and I found it refreshing. Their is a cliff to climb up for great views and pics and places to get food right on the beach that turned out to be better then average beach fare. The frozen lemonades a big plus......more
One if the better places if bot the best for place for a cup of coffee or a Iced Coffee in town. There is seating upstairs indoors and a cool little patio to sit outdoors to enjoy some people watching.
Right on the water and a great spot even midday. Great bowls of chowder...I should have gone for the bowl vs just a cup. They have a nice selection of drinks as well as beer and vino to choose from. Great location...more
God looking pub that works for a meal or a drink. I only did drinks here. They carry a nice selection of high end liquors and make a solid drink. I turned some of my friends on to Dark and Stormy's while another bud was psyched they had Hendricks Gin....more
Our first stop once we headed out for the night was Pier 49 for beers and some pre-dinner appi’s. We shared very good calamari with hot peppers, good onion rings and OK crab cakes while drinking Hoegardens and Gin and Tonics. Nice views of the water....more
Via Via Pizza on Thames. They have a plethora of slices to choose from, I had a couple of slices of the Newport(chicken, spinach, tomatoes and drizzle of ranch sauce). I’m a bit of a NYC pizza snob so I’ll say it was pretty good. Oddly enough the best looking girls we saw all night were here...more
Cool spot on the water that a perfect to catch a sunset and check out the boats while enjoying from a nice selection of cold beverages early on...gets rocking at night with a fairly young crowd...but if you wanna shake your money maker...here's the place to do it......more
