This resort architecturally resembles exactly what you would want a high end ski lodge to look like. As soon as you walk into the hotel, you will feel the immediate warmth of the hotel with several fireplaces lit throughout the hotel. The clientele is definitely people that have money since this resort is not cheap. We were here for a company trip and it was fantastic. All the conference rooms were really beautiful and accommodated our needs perfectly. The rooms are quite sizable with large windows that provide you with beautiful views of the snowy scenery around you. While the size of the rooms were large, they still felt very cozy and made you instantly relax. This hotel is great for a romantic retreat, family vacation or even for a company trip.

Vail Cascade Resort and Spa has some of the best views! We got a room with a balcony facing the river and it was the most amazing thing waking up and opening the doors to the sound of the river. It is beautiful, extra clean and the staff were all amazingly helpful. The pool and hot tub are amazing, but my favorite thing to do was to go sit by the fire, kick my feet up and relax. Definitely one of our favorites!!!

We go to Vail a lot for weekend get aways and the Vail Cascade is one of our favorite resorts. The spa is always our first stop! Taking the time to unwind our first night really sets the tone for the rest of our weekend. The pool that overlooks Gore creek is beautiful. The rooms are large and the suites are great! We have stayed in both. The only negative is that the movie theater is gone and sometimes the waitstaff in the restaurants are not invested, if that is the right word - they are not rude but not necessarily nice. We love going to the hot tub at night and ordering cocktails from the 'tub phone.' Letting a hotel spoil you is a fun thing!

Overall, this is one of the best full-service hotels, albeit not the newest and not in Vail Village. The Cascade complex is on the other side (west) of Lionshead, but the hotel shuttle and Vail’s free bus service are constants. The ski concierge will outfit those who need equipment, and this is one hotel where you can ski directly from it to a ski lift. The original structure was built in 1992 and a major renovation six years ago added a new dimension in décor and comfort, notably in the oversized guest rooms. The public spaces are inviting – the book-filled library with its fireplace cranking, the animated lounge with its central fireplace, that is an après ski draw. The lounge segues into the trendy restaurant, Atwater, which overlooks the heated, outdoor pool and hot tub. It’s a scene. Generally, this hotel has a healthy fun quotient and then there is the spa and fitness center.
