This resort architecturally resembles exactly what you would want a high end ski lodge to look like. As soon as you walk into the hotel, you will feel the immediate warmth of the hotel with several fireplaces lit throughout the hotel. The clientele is definitely people that have money since this resort is not cheap. We were here for a ...

    Four Seasons Resort Vail

    Four Seasons Resort Vail

    Class:
    4 reviews
Excellent! - 94% of guests recommend

It's called the Gore Range Suite. What about it makes you feel more like royalty? Is it the fireplace crackling in the stone hearth? Is it the dining room table of chocolate brown that seats ten? Is it the claw foot tub for two with remote control TV on the mirror? Probably all of the above and most of all ...

    The Sebastian - Vail

    The Sebastian - Vail

    Class:
    4 reviews
Excellent! - 94% of guests recommend

Although it is said that the architecture is a contemporary take on Italian-Alpine, the owners are from Mexico City, and no one is named Sebastian. St. Sebastian is the patron saint of athletes. One of Vail’s newest properties, this chic, boutique hotel dazzles. Talk about the WOW effect! To the right of the stylin' lobby, is a lounge and the ...

The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort

The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort

    Class:
    2 reviews
Excellent! - 94% of guests recommend

Comment belle est Arabelle? It is an eye-stopper, “thee” top spot in Lionshead. A designated RockResort, it is deserving - especially the extraordinary spa. One must walk through its retail shop with its sensual lingerie display. The ramp to the treatment rooms is flanked by contemporary sculptures of wooden skis. A massage may cost $150, but it is worth it ...

The Lodge at Vail, A RockResort

The Lodge at Vail, A RockResort

    Class:
    2 reviews

A lot of “good” can be said of this Vail landmark. Conversely, one expects more from the designation RockResort. Positives are the employees, caring, even when the hotel is full - the concierges, front desk staff, valet “parkers,” and maids. There is familial warmth here and a vintage lodge ambiance juxtaposed with the contemporary, Elways, a sport-themed restaurant. Another plus ...

    Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa

    Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa

    2 reviews
Excellent! - 90% of guests recommend

Within five minutes of being here, one can feel the spirit, the " bon temps" and want in...even if it is just to savor the Terra Bistro or to “heal’ in the therapeutic spa, taking the sun at the solarium, with its neat rows of Euro-chaises. The décor in the lobby area is delightfully eccentric. Ole-timey pics of Vail are ...

    Antlers at Vail

    Class:

Excellent! - 91% of guests recommend

What you will always remember is the larger than life “dueling antlers” sculpture cum fountain – the focal point of the front entrance. This mid-rise condo’ complex comprises studio-suites and one-bedrooms. Close to the Lionshead gondola, to walking and bike paths, the management here is especially friendly and accommodating. You will remember so many things free: free coffee, tea and ...

    Austria Haus Club Hotel

    Austria Haus Club Hotel

    Class:
    2 reviews
Excellent! - 94% of guests recommend

A hostelry with Austrian overtones, it is one of Vail’s smallest (25 rooms), cozy with a club-like ambiance. The petite lobby is decidedly European and guest room doors are decorated with Alpine plaques. Nice touch. Young front deskmen provide service that is quite formal, somewhat Old World. An expanded Continental breakfast is complimentary and is served in a sun-filled room ...

    Market - East Vail

    Market - East Vail

    1 review

There is only 1 Market in East Vail and we are very close to it. 150 steps past the bus stop. We normally walk to the Market if we need anything. The Market is also a Liquor Store. You will never be stuck needing some item that you forgot to bring up with you.

    Marriott's StreamSide Douglas at Vail

    Class:

Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

We recently used our timeshare at this property. It was better than I had expected- nice outdoor hottub and pool and a great gameroom for the kids complete with Xbox and Wii. The studio we rented had a Murphy bed which was squeaky. And we could hear our neighbors above us rolling over!

Marriott Vail Mountain Resort & Spa

Marriott Vail Mountain Resort & Spa

    Class:
    1 review
Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

Characteristic of Marriotts, it is family-friendly with smiling employees, yet the usual cookie-cutter components. Well-maintained and squeaky-clean, the expansive lobby has a noveau lodge environment. A relatively new property, if achieves some rustic-Vail charisma with period photographs, as early as the 1940s. Some hard-core types say they don’t like staying in a meetings’ hotel, but when the valet conveniently parks ...

New things are happening at Lion Square Lodge, a complex of three buildings right at the base of Vail Mountain. The South and East buildings closed in April, 2012 for major, multi-million dollar renovation projects. The South, overlooking Vail Mountain, will re-open in November 2012 in time for ski season. The East, on the ski base next to South, is ...

From the three flags at the entrance that beckon you to come in, to the chatty girls running the front desk, this is a most hospitable, easy-going, Colorado kind of place. One of the more moderately priced lodging choices with a democratic mix of guests, its location is key, right before the covered bridge going into Vail Village. It is ...

    Gasthof Gramshammer

    Class:
    1 review
Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

Of all the pioneer properties, the Hotel G (est. 1964) has the most authentic, Austrian character. A 100-year-old tapestry hangs near the reception desk, antique Alpine furniture is in the lobby, pine cones and greenery in the window boxes. Mrs. G, ((Sheika Gramshammer), still runs the show. Pepi, her still-attractive husband, was an internationally recognized ski racer and is the ...

This complex in Lionshead Village is surprisingly appealing. If someone were to say: “Hey, I can book you into a 1980s condo," your first reaction might be: "Never mind.” Instead, this mid-rise enclave is exceptionally well-maintained, immaculately clean with 56 condominiums that truly reflect Vail’s official rating system. Here, a spacious two-story, three-bedroom, three-bath residence rated “Platinum,” is worth the ...

    Christiania at Vail

    1 review
Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

Next door neighbor to Tivoli Lodge, at the quiet end of Vail Village (by the covered bridge), and also one of Vail’s first hotels, it has the aged patina and warm personality of the early “settlers.” Alas, it has dated elements as well. Yet, in season, the one-bedroom suites rent for $450; with a balcony and mountain-view, they’re $525. The ...

A major element of Cascade Village, this collection of free-standing condominiums resembles a residential enclave, but here there is a central, 78,000 sq. ft. spa and fitness complex. These ski condos’ have the added advantage of being able to use the facilities at the Cascade Hotel, its bar, restaurant and ski lift, its complimentary shuttle service.
