For any fans of the artist, the Van Gough museum has 3 floors showcasing the work and life of the artist. Even if you're not a huge fan, Gough is an interesting guy and interesting ideas exist around his work. The most famous piece in the museum displayed is Gough's Bedroom which has a whole section dedicated to it. Also, the top floor is a showcase for artist works who inspire Gough.

The Van Gogh museum displays some of Vincent van Gogh's best paintings. His paintings are great arts of storytelling and they are known for portraying rough beauty and emotional honesty during the 1800s. Some of his best work reflects poverty in Dutch farmlands and life in Paris.

Sort of hard to give this a miss, but I was a bit underwhelmed. Lots of biographical detail. Your mileage may vary though and it is hard not to admire the great master!

Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists so I may be a bit biased, but I absolutely loved this museum. It has a wonderful and very complete collection of his work, and you can see how his artistic style evolved over his life time. It is absolutely a must see for fans of impressionist art

The Dutch-born Van Gogh (pronounce it correctly, or the Dutch will cringe) is one of the most celebrated painters today, and this museum is a beautiful chronological story of his life. With narration on the inspiration he drew from other painters of his time, and who and what played a muse for him, it is utterly fascinating to recount the life of an artistic legend. And what a tribute to him.

If you can drag yourself out of the coffeeshops and the Redlight District for an hour or two, time spent at the Van Gogh Museum will not be regretted. The impressionist will defintiely leave an impression on you. The park outside the museum is pretty awesome - public half pipe in full view.

The best collection of Van Gogh paintings and drawings in the world. If you're in Amsterdam, you owe it to yourself to visit this spectacular museum, which also gives insight into the troubled genius of the artist himself. Even if you've seen Van Gogh's prints before, until you've seen their colors face-to-face, you've been missing half their beauty.

If you love impressionist art you have to see this museum. I love all the works of Van Gogh so I had to go here. I spent a whole half day with my audio guide in tow. I would have loved to stay longer but my Mom was waiting for me the whole time. One thing I missed and keep missing in various Art Museum was his Sunflower painting.
