Naam is a vegan restaurant. There's not just salads or a couple of main courses but they even have desserts that are vegan. I didn't enjoy the vegan dessert too much, but I did enjoy the salads they had there.

    Meat & Bread

Meat & Bread is a simple but amazing lunch place. They slow cook various meats for several hours. It's very popular between 12-1 so I'd recommend going on off hours to eat. The menu is very simple and most options are a type of meat and...you guessed it bread. The Meatball sandwich is my favorite. Messy but delicious.

I try to come here whenever I'm in town. I've had good luck with their craft beers, and like the ambiance and the brewpub menu. I also like the Vancouver locale (near Gas Town) and the view of the water.

People rave about the food here, but to be honest, while very good not sure that it qualifies for the superlatives that are usually attached (best Indian food in North America etc..). That being said, it is very good and love the atmosphere of the place. Some would quibble with the no reservation policy and the occasional long wait for ...

Be sure to get there early, especially on weekends. No other brunch place in the city develops a lineup quite like Medinas. Their coffee is to die for and all of their dishes use the freshest ingredients. And if you're only there once, you can't go wrong with a Belgian waffle with one (or two or three) of their dipping ...

I ate at Sun Sui Wah a couple of years ago and thought the dim sum was fresh and excellent. The items were diverse and expansive, and the prices were reasonable. I met a Taiwanese diplomat a year later who worked in Vancouver. He raved about a great dim sum restaurant and lo and behold, we both ended up thinking ...

You like Indian food, you like Indian food with a flare. The pork tenderloin is so tender and flavourful. It is pricier but it's all worth it. You will enjoy the food and people here.
