Don't go there. Until the Vancouver Aquarium lets their whales free this is a no go zone for me and my family.

Gorgeous aquatic facility with great exhibits and a true conservation ethic. Possibly one of the most gorgeously located aquariums in the world, although Monterey might have them beat by a hair. Recently went through a major expansion with tons more to see and do.

I love the Vancouver Aquarium. I, personally, don't think it is that educational. One may think it is not different to other aquariums, but I, and many other reviewers disagree. Great thing is, it is in Stanley Park, so you don't have to drive to two different places to see both beautiful attractions. Also love the stamp ticket. Perfect for children.

Not many aquariums are this cool, and this one hosts a classy event like none other. I'm particularly fond of the otters, and as a general tourist location, it's just fine. But if you get the opportunity to attend an event here in the evening, do not miss it.

This is a fantastic aquarium! Be sure to check out the marine mammal shows; they are free and very educational as well as entertaining. Great exhibits on jellyfish and frogs. Really wonderful.

One of the best we have ever been to. We spent a big part of the day walking around, attending presentations, talking to the staff.

Vancouver aquarium is a family fun day out. If you are wanting something exciting or fun for the kids to do I would suggest Vancouver aquarium. With a wide variety of different species on display and live shows it's hard not to get bored. The only downfall is the price, be prepared to spend a lot as entry admission is expensive unless you are a student with a valid id, all the food inside is pretty pricey so I would suggest bringing a pack lunch and eat on standby park !

The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Sciences Center was one of the high points of our trip to the Pacific Northwest (unhappily we lost the memory chip housing all the pictures we took throughout Seattle, Vancouver, and Alaska. However we did have this picture taken at the Aquarium, so we came back with something). We especially enjoyed the Beluga (white) whales.

Lots of outdoor programming and experience for children in the summer make this a great place to bring the kids. Who knows, you may learn a thing or two yourself.

One of my favorite places to visit in Vancouver. This aquarium is located in the heart of Stanley Park.
Not only does this aquarium contain a large variety of fish from around the world, it also contains dolphins, penguins, snakes, and other exciting animals!

My favorite feature is definitely the dolphin shows, which are very fun to watch.
For people that are interested in knowing more about all the species that the Aquariam contains there is vast knowledge everywhere you look!

A great place for the family of for a date!!

Students also get 10% off if you have a student card! Enjoy

The Vancouver Aquarium is an awesome place to bring the family. It's a great way for kids to learn about what lives beneath the ocean. It would be a great place to visit if you plan on travelling to Vancouver any time soon.

I absolutely adored the Vancouver Aquarium! Such a fun environment, even if you're not a kid*. I learnt a lot of about marine life of the pacific northwest and saw some stunning animals and wonderful trainers.

*I may be a bit of a big kid myself....

Seeing beluga's for the first time was the highlight of my visit here. The aquarium is nestled in Stanley Park and is quite small, it only takes a couple of hours to walk around the whole attraction. The octopus' were also a great feature, illuminating their tanks.

Located in the Stanley Park, Vancouver Aquarium is the largest aquarium in Canada. I was most impressed with large outside area - with habitats for dolphins, seals, penguins and beluga whales. The aquarium staff runs information sessions and training of these magnificent creatures on a tightly packed schedule. The shows are perfectly balanced between being entertaining and educational, definitely one of the best animal shows I have ever attended. They explain their training process with these animals as well as interesting facts about their lifestyles. They make a point to advocate for and support the protection of these animals through personal interaction and day trainer programs. The indoor area is large as well, but there is nothing too overwhelmingly eye catching here. They do have an area of enclosed open space where birds and butterflies are free to swivel in the air around you, makes for perfect opportunities to get up and close with these animals. I would come back again just for attending all the shows. An amazing aquarium!

This is a great aquarium with the best sea otter exhibit I've seen (including Monterey Bay and Seattle). The miniature harbor porpoises have a big window where it looks like they are watching us instead of us looking at them.

The gardens around the aquarium are nice, and there's a Big Pink Bus stop nearby.

The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre is located in Stanley Park and easily accessible from my rental bike at the time. In addition to being a major tourist attraction for Vancouver, the aquarium is a centre for marine research, conservation and marine animal rehabilitation.

The opened in 1956 and is run by a self-supporting non-profit organization. The operation of the aquarium receives no government funding. The property is owned by the City of Vancouver and rented to the Aquarium for $40,000 a year since 1991 (prior to which it was $1 per year). It is officially Canada's first public aquarium and its largest. It's also the first aquarium in the world to capture and display an orca. Other whales and dolphins on display included belugas, narwhals, and dolphins. No penguins though.

I still have my Vancouver Aquarium "Fish" tie as a souvenir from my visit. It was a cool, fun, and educational experience (especially the arctic stuff), and one that I'd love to repeat.

A cross between an amusement/theme park and a naturalist science center, the Vancouver Aquarium has the added benefit of being inside the gorgeous (and humongous) Stanley Park. Who does not love rescued baby dolphins and beluga whales? Seriously, people. Every adorable (and decidedly non-adorable) marine animal or fish is here: otters, penguins, jellyfish, frogs. They're big into conservation (which all aquariums should be by this point) and there are signs of it all over the park.

Loved this place. Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of my favorite places in the world and this place gives them a run for their money. The Beluga Whales are a must see. There is even an underwater viewing area for both Marine Mammal tanks.

This large aquarium features over 8,000 aquatic species from all over the world. These animals are kept in attractions designed to perfectly mimic their natural habitats.
