Loved the Vdara. It was such a delight to come back to a non gaming/non smoking hotel after having been in the other casinos all day. Very relaxing stay. Staff was fabulous. It is the one hotel I didn't mind spending the day in when a wind storm hit during our trip. The strip is easily accessible via short walk to the Bellagio or Aria. Definitely looking forward to a return tripRecommended for:

This is what a classy hotel in Vegas is all about. All of the rooms are suite style rooms with a small kitchen, sitting area, and sleeping area. The rooms are spacious and everything has a dark, modern look to it. A big plus is that there is no huge casino area you have to walk across to get to your room. And if you wanted a casino, the Aria is just right next door.

Staying at Vdara was amazing. Our group had a high floor so we have a nice view of the Las Vegas strip. The suite was very spacious. It has a nice kitchenette and living room with a nice flat screen tv. The decor was very modern and cozy. One thing to note about staying here is that there is no casino below. So it was nice to return to our room with it not being too noisy or busy with people. This hotel is an easy walk to the Cosmopolitan and the Bellagio which neighbor the hotel. I would love to stay here again. Excellent service and rooms.Recommended for:

Not your typical Vegas Casino hotel. Vdara is a very nice addition to the Vegas strip. It is a hotel that put you at the midst of actions and still provides an escape from all the noisy casinos and cigar polluted air.
*Room (4.5/5 Stars) - The deluxe room is a pretty spacious suite with a decent size kitchenette and separate dining area. Microwave comes in handle at times but I wish they put a coffee maker there as well. Decor are modern and chic. Appliances are new but the cabinets seem a bit flimsy. Some already have dents and scratches. With the convertible queen size sofa bed in the living room and a king size bed, this room could fit 4 people. I like how the living and sleeping area are sectioned by the back to back LCD TVs. Bathroom is bright and roomy with a tub and a shower. The tub even has a shower head! What more can you ask for? Well...maybe a bit more counter top space. The sliding door for the bathroom is a bit hard to operate.
*Location (4/5 Stars) - Vdara is technically slightly off the strip but still very accessible. It is connected to Bellagio and is a short walk from the sister hotel Aria. I love the fact that I don't have to walk through any casino area to get on the strip. You could also use the monorail that takes you to Aria/Crystal and Monte Carlo.
*Service (5/5 Stars) - Staff was courteous and service was almost flawless. My only complaint is that it took a while for the bell service to bring my luggage to my room.
*Property Amenities (3.5/5 Stars) - There are only one restaurants (limited hours) and one bar at this hotel. Although restaurants in Aria and Bellagio are still fairly accessible.
Overall a great place to stay and I would recommend Vdara to anyone who wouldn't mind a slightly different Vegas hotel experience.Recommended for:

**COOL, MODERN HOTEL IN CITY CENTER**
Not my favorite hotel in Las Vegas, but it did the trick.
City Center reminded me of SFO airport, especially the valet services for the hotels.
*Aveda products galore
*Friendly staff members
*Convenient to Bellagio
*No ipod docking station
*There was *jizz* on our couch
*No double bed rooms
*Not too many dining options
Definitely more likes than dislikes.

Vdara is a hip and modern hotel conveniently located in City Center, with a bridge that connects it to Bellagio, and it's a short walk to Cosmopolitan and Aria (you can take the tram there too). There isn't a casino here, so it's much quieter and it's also a non-smoking property. In fact, they pump the loveliest scent through their vents in the lobby area. The rooms are nicely appointed with super comfortable beds, though they could do a better job cleaning their upholstery. There's a small kitchenette with a microwave so you can heat up leftovers. Bathrooms are stocked with Aveda bath products. Friends used their spa facility and thoroughly enjoyed it. They also stayed in a two-story penthouse suite with a view of the Bellagio lake, which was amazing. Highly recommend booking this if you are with 6+ people. During CES/AVN weekend, Vdara had the best rates at $160/night.Recommended for:

My fave in City Center. Super close to all the action with out all the smoke and loud noise of the casinos! Rooms are well designed and laid out. Huge bathrooms with shower, separate soaking tubs and suites are all equipped with a kitchenette and a living area.
I always settle in quickly and enjoy every minute of my stay!

Not my favorite place to stay in Vegas. There is no casino downstairs, and the closest option is Aria. No other hotels are within a close walking distance.
The rooms come with a kitchenette, which, let's get real, who goes to Vegas to do any cooking? Thanks for the pots and pans, guys, but I'd rather have a casino!

Vdara was a great hotel to stay in. I love staying in casino free/smoke free hotels. This is definitely in my top three with Trump and Palms Place.
When we checked in, we upgraded to a "two room suite" for $30 extra per day. The room has a king bed, a large bathroom with shower and tub, a living room area with a pull out couch bed, a dining area, kitchen, full fridge, washer and dryer, and second bathroom (more of a half bathroom/powder room/no shower).
There is complimentary bottled water in the room daily, and be aware there is also a $25 daily resort fee which gives you free wi-fi, pool access (Vdara and Aria), bottled water, access to fitness center.
There is no self parking, only valet.
Customer service was great and we really enjoyed our stay here. I like that it's conveniently located in city center and you can walk right into the Bellagio from this hotel or take a tram to Aria/Crystals or Monte Carlo.
The only thing that there was to complain about was housekeeping one day. However, the situation was remedied and it was not bad enough to prevent me from staying here again or discourage anyone else from staying here.

I've stayed in just about every casino hotel on the Strip, and Vdara is a new favorite for apartment-style suites. City Corner View Suites have panoramic views of Vegas' neon lights, plus huge soaking tubs in the bathrooms and a full kitchen plus a washer & dryer. It's sweet condo luxury. The only drawbacks are that there's no 24-hour cafe here and it's not easy to walk from here to the Cosmopolitan. Cosmo is right next door, but oddly there's no pedestrian route there from Vdara; you have to walk over to one of the other MGM Mirage properties like Bellagio or Aria first, then exit onto Las Vegas Blvd. Which is kind of a pain!Recommended for:

Five star my a@@. Check in was bas even for Vegas standards. Most of the staff are not helpful. Locked out of my rotor three times and still have no key. Called front desk and got the run around twice. It has been over an hour now and we are still waiting. View is nice. Spa was great. But this is not my idea of five stars.

What I love about Vdara is that it's a luxe, but toned down Vegas experience. It's non-gaming hotel, but if you have a craving for the slot machines, simply walk across the street to Aria, which is also a super nice hotel.Recommended for:

Make sure to get the right room layout for your party! Prior stay had an awkward layout, making it small for the amount of people we had. Next time around + better planning led to a spacious room. Great restroom to "get ready in," plus little kitchenette area to pregame. Cheaper b/c there's no casino. A hip and trendy hotel.Recommended for:

We said we were newly weds and first time to the hotel and they upgraded our room. It was a room with a living room and kitchen. It was a very spacious room and it was facing the pool so we could see when it's the best time to go down to the pool. It's very clean and theres no smoky smell anywhere because there's no casino in this hotel. I would totally stay here again.

We stayed at the Vdara for my 30th birthday. The room was amazing - it was bigger than our apartment! Full appliances - fridge, dishwasher, sink, microwave, dining room table, washer and dryer. Loved the design of the hotel and the proximity to Bellagio (they have their own walkway there.) A few issues though - dryer kept malfunctioning, (we wanted to run one load of laundry before heading home), it could not be fixed by maintenance. Room service was sloppy - we asked for plates, dishes and silverware to enjoy some takeout we brought to the room, I had to call twice for them to arrive. Parking there was very confusing as well - no self parking, only valet (although complimentary valet.) I'd still stay here again though, if only for the space and the view (could see the Bellagio fountains from my bed!!)

Luckily, I found a great deal on bloomspot for a panoramic suite at Vdara. The "suites" were beautiful and very modernized. The suite was designed great with the kitchen, living room, separate bedroom, and huge bathrooms overlooking the vegas strip. The cafe on the first floor had amazing breakfast bagels.
