From the moment we stepped into the lobby we were taken aback by how well presented the hotel was, the size of it and the attention to detail. Walking through the hotel its easy to forget your in Las Vegas and not Venice. It is very luxurious indeed, The Doge's Palace, the Campanile, The Bridge of Sighs, the gondoliers make it surreal in the extreme.

The entire hotel keeps to the Venice theme with gondola's running on a canal through the shopping mall, a replica of St Marks square and beautiful paintings on the ceilings. It's classy and elegant and quite literally incredible.

The room was absolutely gorgeous. The beds weren't as comfortable as I usually like, but the the bathroom was lovely. I love the silly things like one remote to control the lights and blinds from bed!

As a kid growing up, I always referred to this hotel as "the one with the cool sky". HA! To this day, I still call it just that. If you're a first timer and just losing your V(egas)irginity, you have to go to one of the shows located in the symposium.

It's expanded a great deal since my childhood; there's more restaurants, attractions, and a food court the last time I went. I didn't have a great deal actually exploring what's new, but there are noticable changes. As the usual, you can pretend to be in Venice and take a ride in the boats as they try to create that authentic experience for you without actually going there. There's also a section now where you can enjoy fine dining (can't recall any of the restaurant names unfortunately, I was in a rush while passing by here),

While there are a myriad of options you can choose from, the Venetian is located on the edge of the strip, and the rooms are absolutely pristine. Try to find deals or you will be forking out a ton for a couple of nights here.

I basically plowed down the Vegas strip, anxiously making my way to the Venetian to see if they'd done my favorite city justice. Turns out, they did! Obviously, it's not as incredible as Venice, but it's pretty cool to see gondolas rowing through the hotel and the ceilings painting like blue Venetian skies.

Great immersion while still in Vegas. Impeccable service, amazing rooms and food options abound.

This was a nice hotel that I recently spent a weekend at with a bunch of friends for a bachelor party. We all seemed to enjoy the place. We ended up with a couple of adjoining suites and packed them to the gunnels.

The couches and beds were comfy. The rooms were properly equipped with ironing boards, multiple TVs, Hi ball glasses, etc. We were wishing that we had some bigger ice buckets! As it was we had to do the motel 6 move of taking the igloo to the ice machine and well you know how that goes...

PRO TIP #1: Always take the free Valet parking!

The hotel provided a myriad of little bathroom items that are always needed by someone; shower cap w/scrunche, mending kit, emery board and something, and q-tips. That is in addition to the standard soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion.

The decor was nice and with the suites not low end. The rooms were narrow but long with a railing for the living room area but no fridge or cooking area at all.

PRO TIP #2: make sure you always have a key card with you or the group you are in whenever you go downstairs. They post guards to key card check the rooms... annoying but gotta keep the hookers out somehow eh?

The main entrance has some wonderfully colonnaded arches and vaulted ceilings. The colors are matched throughout the entire facility. Dark wood accents in the restaurants to the furniture in the rooms. Khaki stonework throughout the main casino entrance and hallways as well as the paint in the rooms.

Overall it was a great stay, but its a bit pricey I think as well. The hotel service was lacking at times as we had to order extra towels and didnt end up with maid service in one of our two rooms grrrrr... but overall it was a great stay for us.

As decadent as you'd expect a Venetian-themed hotel to be, this beautiful hotel is a great place to spend a luxurious Vegas vacation. If you've got the coin, spring for a suite, complete with living room, kitchenette, sitting area, and huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub. This hotel also boasts the nightclub Tao, famous for celebrity sightings.

Love Venetian Hotel, it is one of my favorites in Las Vegas. We had a suite and 4 of us stayed once. Tao Night Club and Tao Beach makes it very attrative stay.

Come to Lost Wages this time of year (June, in a bad economy) and you can get some deals, especially mid-week!

I come to Vegas several times a year, mostly for business (well, you always can mix in some pleasure here in Sin City). So I prefer to go to an off-the-strip hotel, like you might find in every other city.

Why the Hades would I stay at a Courtyard, Embassy Suites or other such businessperson's hotel when I go to Vegas you ask?

Because if you are trying to make business calls, and drive around town as a humble worker bee toiling his trade, you want to be able to get in your hotel and out of your hotel, usually easily and quickly, like you do in Bakersfield, or Missoula, Hackensack or anywhere else Johnny Cash used to sing about. ("I've been everywhere, man!" I can relate!)

So the last thing you want to do is be with the prolitereate masses of rookies, wanabees, country bumpkins, and drunk douchebags, waiting in line for 20 minutes for your Valet car, 20 minutes for your bags, walk through endless casinos that stretch for blocks, and fight through oggling crowds fixated on free shows on Las Vegas Boulevard.

But sometimes you have to make exceptions, like I did today.

The deal:Luxury Suite on the 33rd floor of the Venetian, with oversized bathroom with marble floors and double doors, a separate commode room, large bathtub and separate glass enclosed shower, vanity, his/hers sink, king size bed, 3 flat screen TVs, step down living room with gold sectional couch, large coffee table, desk with fax/printer and WIFI, separate dining table, remote control automated curtains, 2 terry robes, sensor mini-bar, and luxury appointments.

    Wait, that's not all!

Add $25 in slot money, complimentary golf club rentals, 50% discount on a round of golf at Bali Hai or Royal Links, 20% off your bill at Restaurant Charlie, 2 for 1 well drinks at Salute in the Palazzo Hotel, and 20% off at the Pinot Brasserie.

Cost on a Thursday night in June?

$300? (WIlliam Shatner scoffs! Go lower, he whispers)

$200? (Bill says, Mamby Pamby! Lower)

$150? (Shatner is asking to be beamed up!)

Try $109. Yup, all that for $109.

And Bill Shatner had nothing to do with it. Neither did Price Line. I just saw their show, Jersey Boys last year, didn't even stay here then (I was at the Embassy Suites!) and they emailed me the special.

Turns out I turned the $25 free slots into $60, took that to the Craps table and turned it into $300. So I came out way ahead.

And instead of seeing businessmen in business casual wear at the Courtyard, there was nothing but lovely women showing a lot of flesh in their little strapless mini-dresses. Las Vegas gives women the excuse to dress like a hooker, and they all do when the sun goes down.

Only problem is, they can't wear that same mini-dress back in Peoria or Poughkeepsie or Petaluma! Not at the local Marriott at least!

Which reminds me, didn't William Shatner play a "Hooker" on TV?

I've spent over 200 nights of my life in this luxury hotel. I probably reduced my lifespan by triple that number being in Vegas, but the entertainment and memories were probably 100x.

Sticking to this math theme, let's give you reasons why you should stay here when in Sin City:

Bella Luxury Suites have 2 queen beds, 1 pullout full sized-couch (comfy), and one soft sofa. That means 7 people can sleep comfortably in beds.

Avg price of a Bella on a Fri/Sat is around $270, you can easily find deals online/book early to pay $220-250.

Do the math. It's very affordable and as world-class luxury as you can get.

Not to mention the fun you'll have with friends, the amazing TAO nightclub and TAO Beach at the Venetian, the shopping and feel of Venice, Italy (my favorite city in the entire planet), the great dining options (Grand Luxe, SushiSamba which is connected to Palazzo, Cut, etc.).

5 stars. 10 if i could. 2x the pleasure of a regular hotel.

The standard rooms were beautiful and there are so many excellent dining options within the hotel. The location of the Venetian on the strip is also prime. Service was terrific as always.

After staying in several affordable hotels in vegas, I'd like to say this is by far my favorite. All the rooms are suites and it's perfect if you're going with a group of friends. No one has to sleep on the floor!

The top 3 reason I like the Venetian:
1.The hotel that is located in the middle of the strip
    2. Comfortable
    3. Immaculate (I get paranoid about cleanliness)

The shopping center inside is fun to walk around in. Something about the fake sky and the little canal makes me feel like I'm on vacation mode. The cheesy gondola ride full of tourists amuses me.

The suite includes: 2 comfy queen size beds, 1 pullout bed, 1 nice bathroom (shower and tub) and a mediocre view.

It's worth getting a suite here if you have a group of friends. It's where all the magic happens, you feel like a million bucks staying here, and after all these years, it's still a legit hotel, very classic and the gondolas never get old.

The service here is absolutely phenomenal and the rooms (or the suites, anyway) are beautiful. I've never stayed in a standard room so I can't really speak for them but I imagine they're great as well.

Venetian, predecessor to the Palazzo is a great hotel. It's in a great location, and I consider it one of the higher quality hotels in Vegas, characterized by a European Old World style. If you want a more sophisticated feeling hotel, this is a great option. If you want a party crowd, try Planet Hollywood or New York, New York. I like the clubs on this part of the strip better though.
