    Hotel Concordia

    Hotel Concordia

    Class:
    5 reviews
Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

With some rooms overlooking the Basilica San Marco, this Old-World Venetian hotel is exquisitely decorated. Rooms are decadent. The lounge area is very classy and it feels like stepping onto a cruise ship. Dark wood paneling throughout the lobby and a nice snack bar. If you want to be impressed, this is definitely the right place to stay.

    Papadopoli Venezia - MGallery Collection

    Papadopoli Venezia - MGallery Collection

    Class:
    4 reviews

The gorgeous restaurant in this hotel - which is part cavern, part rainforest, part garden, and all luxury – is reason enough to stay here. (It also has gluten-free options, which is rare in this country.) It’s the first thing you see when coming through the revolving door (which has a glass sculpture at its nexus), right behind an opulent ...

    Palazzo Sant'Angelo sul Canal Grande

    Palazzo Sant'Angelo sul Canal Grande

    Class:
    4 reviews
Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

Oh, Palazzo Angelo. It’s so hard to find by foot (find Corte Del Albero, then head towards the water), but it’s so worth it. (I bet it would’ve been easy if I’d just taken the boat from the airport to the private dock, or even the orange line public transport that drops off just outside the door, but c’est la ...

    Foscari Palace

    Foscari Palace

    Class:
    5 reviews
Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

Though directly across from the impressive Ca’Sagredo, this hotel has a distinctly different look and feel from Sagredo’s museum-y opulence and openness to the public. The staff are very polite, but not entirely friendly, which seems to reflect the whole hotel’s cool, quiet elegance. Whereas Sagredo feels like a place to celebrate and be treated like royalty, Foscari feels like ...

A classic European ambiance at the luxurious Kette Hotel. You feel like a VIP as you walk into the elegant lobby. Book well in advance because the rooms fill up fast. It is decorated with a stylish mix of Old-World and modern furnishings. The Kette is literally in the middle of Venice, walking distance to San Marco, the Teatros Fenice ...

    Hotel Dona Palace

    Class:
    4 reviews
Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

My wife and I stayed in Venice over Christmas in 2008. For a young couple, winter in Venice is a page straight out of Hemingway. Some days you can climb the Campanile and see all the way to the Alps while on other days the sea closes in and fog descends, wrapping the city in silence. Our time in Venice ...

    Hotel Londra Palace

    Hotel Londra Palace

    Class:
    4 reviews
Excellent! - 95% of guests recommend

This British-style hotel overlooking the Lagoon feels like a royal cruise ship from the minute you walk through the lobby, filled with light colors. Even the front desk is fancy, with an artsy etching of old ships in wood. The service is impeccable. A baby grand piano sits among many vases of white orchids adorning rich, wooden tables and plush ...

    Hotel Centauro

    Hotel Centauro

    4 reviews
Very Good! - 80% of guests recommend

I don’t know how to describe this place other than delightful. It’s nice, but not pretentious. There’s incredible attention to detail, but it doesn’t feel sterile or museum-like. It’s in an old palace, but it feels fresh and new and airy. I’m partial to this hotel’s particular interpretation of Venetian style: lots of striped fabric on walls, opulent golds and ...

In a peaceful, secluded location about a ten minute walk away from the train station, is the lovely Ca'San Giorgio. Hotel Antiche Figure

    Hotel Antiche Figure

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 93% of guests recommend

The Antiche Figure was a very comfortable and pretty place to spend a few days, even more. Right across from the Ferrovia, you can watch all the action happen from a table outside in the warmer seasons, and you can also watch the action from your window, if you stay in one of the rooms overlooking the canal. Service was ...

    Hotel Dei Dragomanni

    Hotel Dei Dragomanni

    Class:
    4 reviews
Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

This timeless, yet modern-feeling hotel is right off of Campo S. Maruizio (a quiet little piazza anchored by the Museo della Musica at Chiesa di San Maurizia). From the alley in front of the hotel, there’s a pretty view of the canal and the awesome buildings on the other side of the water: a good omen of what’s to come ...

    Hotel al Ponte dei Sospiri

    Hotel al Ponte dei Sospiri

    Class:
    3 reviews
Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

Two words: Canopy bed. As though Venice isn’t romantic enough all on its own, Dei Sospiri feels like it was built expressly to be a lover’s getaway (though the big suite-style rooms would also be good for families, I suspect). There aren’t even common spaces here – you either have your breakfast brought to your room, where you eat at ...

    Hotel Campiello

    Hotel Campiello

    Class:

Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

This little hotel was charming, it's tucked away right off of Riva Degli Schiavoni, around the corner from its sister hotel, Paganelli. The two are owned by sisters, and the property used to be a convent. For the value, in comparison to others, this hotel is a steal, and consequently full at most times, so it's best to book in ...

Grande Albergo Ausonia & Hungaria Wellness & Spa on Venice Lido Hotel

    Class:

Since the Grand Hotel Des Bains is permanently closed, the Grande Albergo Ausonia & Hungaria is the next best thing. You will feel like a character in a literary masterpiece about Venice from the 1930's staying here. The world-class atmosphere, service and proximity to transportation as well as the beach makes this a perfect location to come and discover the ...

    Hotel Antico Panada

    Class:

Fair - 70% of guests recommend

I would come back to this hotel again just to hang out in its “Ai Speci” bar. The bar looks like a gorgeous, grand watering hole that’s been shrunken to a quarter of its size: dark wood, framed mirrors everywhere, lush booths that only seat two people, an impressive bar area with room for only four stools. Its small scale ...

    Hotel Il Mercante di Venezia

    Hotel Il Mercante di Venezia

    Class:

Fair - 74% of guests recommend

What a delightful little discovery this hotel was! It was already dark, and starting to rain, when my boyfriend and I arrived in Venice without a place to stay. We broke down and asked the woman at the tourist info kiosk outside the train station to reserve a room at the cheapest hotel she had. Fifteen minutes and a few ...
