    Hotel Dona Palace

    Hotel Dona Palace

    Class:
    4 reviews
Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

My wife and I stayed in Venice over Christmas in 2008. For a young couple, winter in Venice is a page straight out of Hemingway. Some days you can climb the Campanile and see all the way to the Alps while on other days the sea closes in and fog descends, wrapping the city in silence. Our time in Venice ...

The Hotel Gritti Palance overlooks the Grand Canal. It is set in a palace that was built by a Renaissance doge of Venice. Hemingway stayed here during the 40's and 50's. His preferred suite bears his name to this day and his novel, "Across the River and into the Trees" mentions the palace along with other Venice sights such as ...

    Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

    Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

    Class:
    8 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

Gayle and I stayed at the Hilton Molino Stucky for 2 nights after we returned from our Norwegian Jade Cruise to Croatia, Athens, and Izmir Turkey and back. Her Sister (Erin) was extremely generous in booking us here on her Hilton Hhonors points. Otherwise, this is easily a $400 per night stay and we wouldn't have had continual access to ...

    Ca' Pisani Hotel

    Ca' Pisani Hotel

    Class:
    5 reviews
Excellent! - 91% of guests recommend

This is a fantastic little gem of a hotel, located right near the Peggy and the accadamia bridge. A design-oriented hotel, ca'pisani is modern by Venetian standards, but not obnoxiously so. I loved the steam shower in my bathroom and my giant bed was just heaven. What made me really love ca'pisani had more to do with the genuine warmth ...

Hotel Excelsior - Venice Lido Resort

Hotel Excelsior - Venice Lido Resort

    Class:
    4 reviews

The Excelsior would be the perfect place to host a lavish destination wedding or rich uncle’s decadent birthday party. Guests can stay in the very nice (though otherwise kind of unremarkable) rooms on one side of the hotel, and they can party in one of the stunningly awesome spaces on the other side: coffee on the veranda overlooking the ocean, ...

    Hotel Antiche Figure

Excellent! - 93% of guests recommend

The Antiche Figure was a very comfortable and pretty place to spend a few days, even more. Right across from the Ferrovia, you can watch all the action happen from a table outside in the warmer seasons, and you can also watch the action from your window, if you stay in one of the rooms overlooking the canal. The Westin Hotel Europa & Regina, Venice

The Westin Hotel Europa & Regina, Venice

Another one of the big hotels along the Grand Canal, it boast equal palazzo themed decor. Great location not far from the square. A hotel with a legendary name, the Bauer Il Palazzo is the quintessential luxury tourist hotel of Venice, and the only one with such a legacy started by a female hotelier. Papadopoli Venezia - MGallery Collection

    Papadopoli Venezia - MGallery Collection

A sumptuous, classic hotel near public transit and a multitude of places to eat and shop. Most impressive is the greenhouse room full of leafy canopies, adjacent to the elegant lobby. An elevator sweeps you up to the classy guest rooms, however rooms resemble the more generic type you would find at say a Marriott. For such a unique place ...

    Class:
    4 reviews
Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

Secluded, but close to the Palazzo Grassi and some restaurants, the Sant'Angelo Palazzo was a lavish place to stay. The service is courteous and solid, the atmosphere quiet and noble and the rooms exquisitely decorated (all in red). We had champagne waiting for us in our room and snacks. Really lovely place to come unwind with the kids!
