    Piazza San Marco

Piazza San Marco, Venice 30124 Italy
    163 reviews

Romance, history, beauty... Come sit by the canals at St. Mark's Square and sip a drink as you watch gondolas pick up their passengers to sing songs to and charm. The museum there show great art pieces from hundreds of years ago, amazing, beautiful, and memories to last a lifetime...

    Grand Canal

    80 reviews

The canal is beautiful. I recommend taking a public-transit ferry so you can see the whole canal from the water, and it only costs a few euros per ticket.

    Bridge of Sighs

Sestiere San Marco, Venice 30124 Italy
    68 reviews

Over-rated. From the outside, it appears to be just another bridge, albeit a covered one. If you miss it, you're trip won't be lacking.

    Peggy Guggenheim Collection

Sestiere Dorsoduro 701, Venice 30123 Italy
    29 reviews

The museum is great if you're really into art. If you're only kind of into it (as I was), your time and money is probably better spent elsewhere in Venice. It was nice though to see some Dalis, Pollocks, and Warhols.

    Gondola Service

1 San Marco, Venice, VE 30124, Italy
    55 reviews

Certo che si può.Anche se fa freddo, i gondolieri lavorano sempre. E' consigliabile essere ben coperti, per via del freddo e l' umidità, ma Venezia ha un suo fascino anche d' inverno, avvolta dalla nebbia.

    94 reviews

The Rialto is an amazing and iconic bridge and the great market is a wonderful place to find good, fresh produce, among lots and lots of other things. The Rialto is definitely a bridge worth visiting, even though it's always, always incredibly hectic.

I am a big fan of local markets. In fact, whenever I visit a European city, the first thing I ask people is "Where is the local market?" The Rialto Markets is the Market in Venice. However, a lot of people don't know about it, and it is small compared to most of the markets I have been to. Hidden ...

    Campo Arsenale 2407 Venice, Italy
    15 reviews

The Arsenale is a very interesting area to visit, where old disaffected boat industry hangars are now being reconverted in trendy Offices and Art Exhibitions. It is advised specially if you are an interior designer or an architect, or just a lover of different kind of space.

Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari

San Polo, Venice, Province of Venice, Italy
    11 reviews

I absolutely adore Frari. The funerary monument to Antonio Canova lies within the great walls of this Basilica. Only the sculptor's heart is entombed there, however. Many famous and historic tombs can also be viewed. It's well worth the visit. The Basilica itself is enormous and stunning to behold.
