The canals are beautiful; what a wonderful hidden gem in Venice! If you're grabbing a meal along Abbot Kinney, you can get here by walking about a mile. Walk along the path and across the bridges...it's like a maze. You may find the occasional resident in a canoe on the water too.Recommended for:Outdoor Enthusiasts

One of Venice's hidden gems - very few tourists know about the canals, with their arched bridges and flower lined paths. Jim Morrison used to live here. A great place to take a stroll and check out one of LA's coolest neighborhoods.

Venice's original 16 miles of canals have been reduced to an affluent grid bounded by South Venice Boulevard and Ocean Avenue, 28th Avenue and Pacific Avenue. When you become bored with the Boardwalk, a trip to the canals will be soothing.
