    Six Flags Magic Mountain

26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, CA
    43 reviews

Six Flags is a great venue for kids and adults. There is something for everyone, especially if you're a thrill seeker. There is a kids area with plenty of rides, characters and entertainment for them to enjoy. Valencia can be very hot so make sure to bring sunscreen and a hat. Also, it's smart to avoid going during spring break ...

40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, CA 93065-0600
    14 reviews

**ONE OF THE BEST U.S. MUSEUMS** As many of my dearest friends know, President Ronald Reagan is my favorite U.S. President. It was a nice day-trip to Simi Valley to experience the history and legacy of the Great Communicator. PARKING ======== We took a back road (Esperance Drive) which led us to the back parking lot with a locked gate ...

    Camarillo Premium Outlets

    19 reviews

You may have to drive an hour to get to the Camarillo outlets from LA, but it is a HUGE outlet mall with tons of major stores. The only down side is that the mall is segreated into 3 different sections, not really within walking distance, so you may have to drive from section to section and find parking again.

    Mission San Buenaventura

    211 East Main Street
    7 reviews

If you have seen the San Gabriel Mission or the Santa Barbara Mission and you're not especially into California missions, there is no need to make a special trip to see this mission. Looking around it will provide a mild sense of history but not much more.

    Ventura Harbor

    8 reviews

Besides what you'd normally expect to find in a working marina, there is also the Ventura Harbor Village which houses a variety of restaurants, gift shops, art galleries, an arcade and even it's own comedy club. Of course if you want to get out on the water you'll also find boat and kayak rentals, dive boat companies, sportsfishing cruises, harbor ...

    Underwood Family Farms

3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark, California
    4 reviews

This is great place for the kids to see a "working" farm. We were able to go an pick strawberries, but they have different seasonal crops to harvest through out the year, The only downside was that you have to pay extra for the different sections. Tractor rides are free as is parking.

    California State University Channel Islands

1 University Drive, Camarillo, CA, United States
    3 reviews

One of the newest and nicest Cal State campuses, there are less than 5000 undergraduates. The campus architecture is pleasant and reminds no one of the state mental institution whose buildings the university has taken over.

    Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza

    United States
    3 reviews

This is a community cultural centerpiece for Thousand Oaks and its surrounding suburbs. Well-known performers who have passed their peak popularity often perform here. It is also an often-used venue for community groups. The sound system, though not perfect, is tolerable.

    Whole Foods Market

740 North Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, CA

One of the best Whole Foods ive ever been too. They have great hot meals available- my favorite thing is that on Wednesday its a few dollars off per pound on the hot foods/salad bar, a really good deal for the quality. They also make delicious sandwiches and juice. The grocery store is similar to other Whole Foods- you can ...

The Museum of Ventura County first opened in 1913 in the newly built Ventura County Courthouse (now Ventura City Hall). Soon known as the Pioneer Museum, its collections of artifacts and curios were the legacy of Dr. Cephas Bard, a Pennsylvania doctor who came to Ventura after the Civil War. California Lutheran University

60 West Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks, California
    2 reviews

A serene campus, a good faculty, above average academically and a good to outstanding football team. A bit far from the "real" world of Los Angeles so the students tend to be a little insulated but still CLU is a place where a good education is available.

    Paradise Falls

938 Avenida de los Arboles, Thousand Oaks, California
    1 review

Not a difficult hike, but a great place to checkout if you want a relatively secluded picnic area with a view of a waterfall. The trail is not difficult physically nor is it too difficult mentally, to find Paradise Falls. My boyfriend and I went to seek out the waterfall around lunch on a Saturday in the summer, and there ...

    B on Main

337 East Main Street, Ventura, CA
    1 review

In downtown Ventura, thrift shops are a lot of what you'll find along Main St as as far as shopping goes. But this half-home decor, half-gift shop is a delight just to take a look around. It's California-style, beach-themed goodies are hard not to take home with you, whether it's a fluffy spa-style robe or an vintage reproduction print.

Lake Sherwood, Thousand Oaks, CA 91361
    1 review

I believe it is only accessible to those who live in the private neighborhood but I had a few friends living there so I was granted access. I have fished from shore and on a boat and was very productive catching bass. I also swam across (which I dont really recommend) but it was fun at the time. People paddle ...
