Incredible food in a surprisingly relaxed setting. Choose from 6, 9 or 12 courses, and have a chat with them a few days before you arrive to sort out any dietary issues you may have. My nine courses were nearly perfectly pitched, from simple touches like salted caramel butter, to complex combinations. An abundant feeling number of extras were added ...

    Bistrotheque

0.24 mi from Viajante -- CLOSED
    5 reviews

For yummy food… Bistrotheque in Cambridge Heath is one of my favourite restaurants and whiskey bars. It is an old factory building with an insanely good food menu and a cocktail bar that looks like it was plucked out of 1950s new york. It is the perfect precursor to a late night out in East London. They also have a ...

18/20; Food 9/10, Ambience 4/5, Service 5/5. Casual offshoot of Nuno Mendes' kitchen in the hyper-cool Town Hall Hotel. The same fusion deconstructed ingredients approach as the Michelin starred Viajante downstairs, all to delicious effect. Gorgeously presented dishes on the compact menu vary often, with creative and unusual combinations that all seem to work really well. The added bonus that ...

The chef is Portuguese and the name means voyager in Portuguese but the menu defies classification. Extremely innovative and surprising, delightful mouthfuls make up the tasting menu. A meal is a voyage of taste. Located in Town Hall Hotel near Bethnal Green, the restaurant is a bit out of the usual visitors centres but well worth the effort to get ...

If there really are two London's Redchurch Street spans them both from Brick Lane to Shoreditch High Street. A destination in itself Redchurch Street boasts stores like Aesop and A.P.C along with independent galleries and coffee shops. At the head of the street sits Boundary and it's coffee cousin, Albion. Boundary is a hotel and has a lovely roof garden ...

Great handcrafted beers and a typical London Fields crowd are an everyday occurrence at the Brewery. Whether you're a hipster or no, you'll probably appreciate the delicious brews, and sometimes, to be honest, I like getting out of the classic pub atmosphere.

First went there with several friends and I have been going back a few times since whenever I want India food. It is not very traditional, which is probably why I like it, and the food tastes simply delicious. They offer a huge variety of grilled and curry dishes and Biryani. I especially like the lamb kabab, paneer Tikka and ...

Brilliant little pub steeped in history and was previously owned by the Kray twins. Small dogs are welcome. There's a lovely fire and a sheltered outside section round the back and most importantly it has a fantastic selection of global beers. If you're eating make sure to try the amazing scotch egg!

Allpress Espresso makes an amazing coffee, great flavour, and fantastic texture. I have gone out of my way to go by and get one from here when I can. I love this little spot on Kingsland road! It's a quirky little diner with cute booths, fun decor and the best bloody milkshakes around. Seriously, just do yourself a favour and ask for the peanut butter-chocolate milkshake - it's heaven. And they serve them Americana style - with the leftover milkshake in the metal tumbler on the side.

A Peruvian restaurant that just opened in Shoreditch. I went there for Sunday brunch once and it is instantly my favorite restaurant. F Cooke

0.45 mi from Viajante -- CLOSED

The Cooke family have been serving up pie and mash at various East End outlets for over 150 years. This branch in the now gentrified Broadway Market is still buzzing and now attracts the area's more well-heeled residents alongside what remains of the more traditional blue collar clientele. An institution.
