Formerly known as St. Vibiana's, this was the cathedral church building for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Built in 1876 it was the church's official cathedral until severely damaged in the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Its reconstruction makes it look like a new building pretending to be old. It is now used as an event center owned by a private developer.

Upon arrival I thought WOW ! This place is a Fantastic wedding venue! The high ceiling and the beautiful fountain outside! Everything was decorated with such precision !

We came here this weekend for a Plate By Plate event, I thought this couldn't be a better venue to throw it at. Although some areas felt a bit squished with the amount of attendees...I still felt it was a beautiful venue! My gf repeated several times about how she WILL be having her wedding there, no IFs, Ands or Buts about it!

Vibiana is a hidden gem in downtown Los Angeles. This Baroque-inspired cathedral is majestic! There is an outdoor space you can utilize that is perfect for receptions or a summer soiree. There are changing rooms in a building separate from the main building, which is great for wedding parties.

The only downside of Vibiana is the acoustics.

    Fashion style week.
Whether you are into fashion or not, going to see your first runway experience is still amazing. Just by seeing beautiful models walk down in clothes that you can never afford and being there to see all that eyecandy makes you want to see more. Loved the whole fashion experience and enjoyed taking pictures of pretty people walk because it's ok in these situations.

Vibiana is a beautiful venue (formerly a cathedral) where various people or organizations do private events. I have been to a wedding and another event here, and it is a gorgeous space, with all the feel of glamour that I imagine in the days of old Hollywood. The acoustics can be problematic, but it is an awesome venue!

Vibiana is an awesome venue. It used to be a cathedral but due the 1994 earthquake the cathedral was never the same. So its been turned into a beautiful special arts and events center. I've been here a few times for special events and the more time I spend looking at the architecture of this building, the more I'm impressed. There's so many features that you'll miss if you don't stop to take a look. Their court yard is beautiful and for a brief moment, I forgot that I'm in LA.

If you're planning a wedding, give this place a chance. There's so much history in one place and it's also a beautiful venue.

Vibiana is a gorgeous space in Downtown LA that was once a cathedral. The main hall is great for weddings, parties and fashion shows. There is a outdoor courtyard that works well for cocktail receptions.

A stunning venue for large events in downtown L.A. This beautifully styled Baroque space perfectly accommodates large wedding and/or corporate receptions. The main room accommodates up to 800 people. That said, the group must be large enough to create a pleasantly warm and festive atmosphere.
