For a hotel in the heart of Miami’s banking district, this is one overly stylized hotel. In some places—like the entrance, where Polynesian statues loom over you—I thought it was overdone, but once I was inside my room, the rich turquoise color scheme and black lacquered furniture felt more residential. Kitchenettes mean you can enjoy coffee in bed without interruption, although it’s definitely worth getting up for a swim. When the pool deck was empty, I found swimming beneath towering skyscrapers in the 300-foot infinity pool creepy—but the smaller pool at Club 50, on the 50th floor, felt more relaxed. (Before the brunch party started.) Don’t miss the Spa at Viceroy: it’s designed by Philippe Starck and has a room full of plunge pools yanked straight out of scene in Alice in Wonderland.

Largest pool in Miami? Ok
Spent the past weekend at the Viceroy in Miami and coming from NYC was very much pleased with the space in the single bedrooms. The decor was fabulous and the bathroom was definitely a highlight! Spa and gym were also amazing!
Overall the service was a bit dissapointing. Although everyone was EXTREMELYYYY nice, they were also veryyyyy slow.
Great for my trip but probably will try something else next time!

Pulling up to the Viceroy for the first time, I found myself confused as to whether I was in upscale downtown Miami or some horrific manifestation of Disney World. With the Easter Island statues on the outside, and the kimono-draped attendants on the inside, I couldn't tell if I was supposed to be in Polynesia or the Far East. Yet, I love a bit of juxtaposition and surprise in an outing, so despite the hodgepodge of funky design influences, I found myself connecting with this hotel. It's definitely funkier than most of what you'll find in the downtown area, yet at the same time it's quiet, refined and all the amenities are there. The upper story Club 50 pool lounge is a dream and almost worth the stay here in and of itself.

A fantastic hotel. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel like royalty and the design and decor is amazing.
Take one of the junior suites and you will enjoy a fantastic view - even from the bath tub.
Highly recommendable. We will be back for sure.
