This would be my other recommendation in Santa Monica. They have a really good selection of both food and pastries with easy parking. It closes early though.

This is one of the best places in Santa Monica to study. The wifi is usually good and there is decent selection of pastries but not much in the way of food. Not sure about the parking situation though. This is kind of a quiet section of Santa Monica so there will probably be a spot on the street.

The breakfast here is phenomenal, especially their brioche french toast and Rosemary potatoes. They have valet parking in case you can't find space on the street at the meters (since Brentwood is so packed in general), but if you get there earlier in the morning, I have always been able to find a parking spot at a nearby meter if it's before 10am.
