    Figlmüller

    Wollzeile 5, Vienna, 9 1010 Austria

Not having weinerschnitzel while in Vienna is like not having chicago pizza while in chicago, or dimsum while in hongkong. Figlmuller, although a restaurant chain of a few outlets, is probably THE place to get Vienna's famous weinerschnitzel. I really really liked their potato salad accompaniment along with a nice cold glass of beer. Simplicity is good.

This was where Tarina and I finally decided to take a break from our strict diet of sausage, sausage, and more sausage. Fabios

This is NOT your typical Italian restaurant. It is fashionable, sleek and the food is modern. The signature dish is Roasted Venison with Sage Gnocchi and although it is not something I would typically order I know that I would order it again. The prices range from 15 to 40 Euros per dish so while there are many more expensive ...

The Tirolergarten Tavern is located in the upper grounds of the Vienna Zoo (Tiergarten Schönbrunn) - accessible by a steep walk up wildlife-flanked paths. We sat out on the patio terrace here and enjoyed a lovely Tyrolean lunch: I had the Heißes Bauernschmankerl, a traditional meal of lightly toasted farmer's bread with cheese, garlic, and tomatoes, and topped it off ...
