My other favorite Japanese spot in the city. I come here to feel like I’m transported to Tokyo. It’s loud, bright and staff all wears Japanese headbands. They also have a great selection of sake and know how to make a mean cocktail. Some of the best bartender techniques come from Japan..Recommended for:

I've been coming here for Japanese food since my old favorite ("Go" on St. Marks) closed down. It gets loud in late hours as patrons have some alcohol in them. Nontheless, about everything on the menu meets or exceeds my expectation for a Japanese restaurant. I almost always pair my beer with the savory, tender, and hot-off-the-grill Takoyaki.

Really great atmosphere, reminded me of being on the streets of Japan. Food was terrific, I had a sashimi bowl and was impressed that it included uni as well. Would definitely go back, and I'd like to try out the hidden bar next time - just walk through the door by the waiting area to get in.
