With temperate weather and plenty of southern hospitality Virginia seems like a lovely place to live.

Virginia is the first permanent English oldest colonies with many different historical activities for all to enjoy. The disability access has been promoted in this state for great access.

Virginia is not just for lovers like the bumper sticker says but fun with or without your family. Virginia is blessed with not just Historical towns like Jamestown,Fredricksburg,Williamsburg and Richmond. But it is blessed with places like Norfolk home to the worlds largest US Navy Base, 2012 NHL champions The Admirals,Doumar's Cones and Barbecue (home to the worlds first ice cream cone making machine).Places like Lurray Caverns,Blue Ridge Mountains,Virginia Living Science Museum,College of William and Mary, Chesapeake where in the summer they have Chesapeake Jubilee. More museums and nick nack shops than you could shake a stick at. Theme Parks Galore, foods of all kinds, campgrounds, motels and hotels, historic battlegrounds, historic reenactments, special tours and trails of all kinds even a Virginia Opera Association! Not to mention full of people that want to make your stay in Virginia enjoyable.

Love Virginia, a beautiful state and friendly people. Went to Busch Gardens which is a very clean fun amusement park. Went to Virginia Beach. Love the boardwalk and the bars were fun also.

I guess I was a little underwhelmed when I came to Virginia. I thought climate wise it'd be similar to California but it was way different that expected, almost like when I was in Alabama. Great historical state, tons of history. Was just a little stressful when out in the heat and humidity.

Description

While Pocahontas may not have actually broken out into song at the sight of John Smith as the English settled into what would later be called Jamestown, Disney’s interpretation of Virginia as a place of natural majesty was wholly accurate. Forests cover over half of the state, filled with black bears, bobcats, foxes, raccoons and more. And while none of these creatures sung songs either, there’s certainly a harmony that comes from the 30 national parks in the state. County fairs and festivals serve as inviting attractions for visitors, celebrating the local culture, art and cuisine. Virginia Beach, a popular beachfront city, offers miles of coastline, as well as cozy shops and local restaurants. And while Capt. Smith might recognize the coast at Jamestown, though now proliferated with tourists, he most definitely wouldn’t be able to tell the Pentagon from a spaceship. ... read more
