Beautiful Beaux Arts-style mansion dating from 1911 and striking gardens which were formerly the home of department store owners and philanthropists Harry and Virginia Robinson. The 6.5 acre estate - which in its heyday played host to legendary parties attended by Charlie Chaplain, Mae West, Agnes Moorhead, Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire - was gifted to the county following Virginia Robinson's death in 1977. Today anyone can take a stroll through the five distinctive gardens comprising a mix of European Renaissance and tropical influences. Really special.
