Nice service and adequate accommodations, but that's about it. The hotel restaurant did not look appetizing and there's not too much directly nearby. Your best bet for entertainment is to walk several blocks to the huge mall nearby (head toward the subway to the right after leaving, then turn left at the intersection). The hotel is also a bit old, though there were no glaring problems with the room.

The first thing to bear in mind if you are planning on staying here is that it is not where many of the maps on the internet say it is, so use the gogobot map or a direct link to the hotel site. When I mentioned this to the hotel staff they said 'oh yes, we know about that,' which I found frustrating as it took me an hour to find and I felt if they were already aware of the problem, they should have fixed it.
Apart from that, the staff were very chatty and friendly. The rooms were average, dated, but ok. Wangshimri is well connected to the city, but there's not too much in the local area of interest. It's not far from Seoul forest, which is a nice day out, but that's about it. It's not a bad area at all, but if you don't have a particular reason to be there, I would opt for somewhere a bit more central.Recommended for:

This place was once under the umbrella of the Best Western chain (it even still says on the sign) but has since become privately owned. Unfortunately, I don't think that the same standards are being held to this place, because quite frankly, it was a mess. The carpets are stained, the walls are dirty, and while the rooms are standard, they smell like smoke and look like they were hastily made up. The staff are very friendly, which can definitely make or break a hotel experience, but for me it didn't really help the overall vibe of this place. It has a breakfast cafe in the lobby, but as far as amenities are concerned that's pretty much it. The location is fairly good, though: It's just a few minute walk from Wangsimni station, a part of town that is very lively and traditionally Korean, and the subway line runs into other parts of the city!Recommended for:
