If I was visiting Dallas, I wouldn't pick this hotel. Its modernist style lacks quality and personality, besides, it's a popular spot for locals. But then, some may like to "mingle."

Came here for a company holiday party. The venue as a whole is tiny but could accommodate us. As far as wine is concerned, I guess it passes if you are Texan. I'm from California and blessed with Napa, so what can I say?Popular withAdventure

Hands down, my favorite bar in Dallas. The staff is awesome, the vibe is cool, and the drinks are unparalleled. The barmen genuinely care about the craft of cocktailing and treat each drink like a culinary masterpiece.Popular withFoodies

Swiss Avenue is a historic Dallas street running 2.5 miles long. You’re welcome to drive your car down the street, but I’d much prefer it if you parked, got out, and walked down this tree-lined, wide street, with a wonderful median for easy strolling. You will see that there are many types of architecture represented on this street, because each ...Popular withHistoryBudgetLocal

While visiting Dallas, we ran across the filming of a Kennedy assassination re-enactment. It brought back a lot of bad memories. I've given it five stars for it's historical relevancy to American history, but it was one of the worst moments in my life.Popular withHistoryLocal

But the main draw here just might be the fresh coffee made with roasted-to-order Cuvée Coffee beans out of Spicewood, Texas. Also in the neighborhood, confectionery Dude, Sweet Chocolate traffics in bonbons, sauces, and spreads incorporating unconventional ingredients such as porcini mushrooms, tequila, and dehydrated blue cheese.

Located in Fair Park (where the TX State Fair is held) this is a great place to bring the kids. They are open 9:00 am - 4:30 pm 7 days a week *closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ticket prices aren't bad. There are 6 different exhibits. My daughter's favorite was Stingray Bay.Popular withFamilies

#BeTipsy This West Village wine store brings customer service to a new level – the people who work here know EVERYTHING about wine. If you attend a tasting, the place is packed, but any time is a good time to stop by and enjoy the outstanding selection, perhaps on the lovely patio. Happy hour at the wine bar is Sunday ...Popular withNightlife

If you need to borrow a lens for the weekend, you would hard-pressed to find another place that would allow you to keep the lens over the weekend and only charge for one day. The proprietors were also quite nice when I spoke to them while waiting for the computer to handle the paperwork.

10 mile path loop for biking, running and walking. The crown jewel of Dallas City Parks. Map marker seems to be in the wrong place. The lake is east of the marker.

Great running, biking, walking trail. The city has spent a fortune on this project. Its awesome for short or long distance runs. The trail is 3.5 miles one way. Head out the front door, go left, right on Routh Street. Routh Street dead ends into the trail.
