Completely different than the W in hollywood. The room interior here is drab, the vibe is more of a young business crowd. I did enjoy the pool area. Quiet, nice service.

Fun bar hidden in the back of this wine shop. They have live music, wine and beer flights, and the cheese plates are Delicious with a capital D. Truffle honey, jam, nuts pair well with a variety of cheese (both mild and "not so mild")

Parking is convenient, lots of fancy stores, and if you're complaining about how there's too many designer stores... literally, just walk across the street, and you'll find Forever21, H&M, American Eagle Outfitters, and whatnot. So Santa Monica Place appeals to all crowds! Most of the designer stores are pretty small anyway and don't have too much selection, but Nordstrom's and ...

I'm a regular beach volleyball player here. The sand is here very smooth with very little coarseness to it. There are people doing all kinds of activity here. Biking, jogging, kite flying, rollerblading, and of course volleyball. Free parking can be a little hard to find so be prepared to pay for the lots.

Set atop the low-lying hills of West L.A., the Getty is one of the most stunning spots in the city. On clear days (after high winds or heavy rain has dissipated the city's trademark smog blanket) visitors can see all the way to Catalina Island. Though the Getty houses a more than formidable collection, I tend to spend most of ...

I never thought I would say I have a favorite shopping mall, but this is it! Their food court is a couple notches above any other food court (my favorite is Coral Tree Express) and the open air layout is much more conducive to strolling and just enjoying the sunshine than other malls in Los Angeles. They also have the ...

Bergamont Station is one of my favorite places in LA; the perfect place to go when you're itching to do something but don't feel like spending money. I'm surprised at how few people know about it still because it's such a gem! Basically, its an art complex comprised of 30 or so diverse galleries all featuring new art. Check out ...

SoHo house is a private club, so you either have to be a member or be put on the list as a guest of a member. It's off of Sunset, and it's located at the top of the building (above Boa). Beautiful view of west hollywood, especially at night. I came for wine tasting, and it's definitely a nice place!
