W Hotel at the Times Square is a trendy and fun place – the waterfall wall that you see before you even get to the hotel lobby is a prelude of what you are about to experience. The lobby bar area is a great place to get together with your friends even if you are not staying at the hotel, though it could get crowded. I like the openness and modern design of the common areas. Your room will have a modern and slick design as well, hopefully it will feature a great view (if you are on a high enough floor) and more likely a bathroom with an open shower. And of course, it has a luxurious feather bed – you don’t want to get out of it in the morning even if it’s almost noon! I really like staying here during our weekend trips to New York. The hotel is centrally located to main attractions – right at the Times Square and the Theater District, in walking distance from Central Park, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, MOMA.Recommended for:

While the W in Times Square is not my idea of the best location, it serves a great purpose for business travelers that are looking for good business rates. This hotel is also really convenient to different transportation options that makes it ideal for business trips.Recommended for:

The minimal lighting and loud music may not be the taste of those who prefer hotels to be more traditional, however one can't feel totally cool staying in such a location with this brand.
W definitely crafted an experience - highlights include ipod dock in room, huge umbrellas to borrow on exit, placemat in lift depending on time of day, and the whatever/whenever ideal of the concierge to name 4.
Only one complaint - the bathroom is separated from the room by misted glass. Problem is just that it's not misted enough... A feature I just can't fathom the reasoning behind!

This hotel is in the heart of Times Square. This is one of my favorite hotels in the Times Square area. It is very trendy and modern. I use to stay here for cheap by using Hotwire. Times Square is central to everything so this is a perfect hotel to stay at if you plan on visiting the city.Recommended for:

the W Time Square is definitely THE most happening, party vibe W in NYC if not the world! It is "loud" by the surrounding neon lights, it is almost always filled with people at the lobby/bar area. The rooms are reasonably sized for NYC and everything else about it (whatever, whenever) is consistent with the W brand. Location is great and right in the center of lights (I mean life, day or night)!

W hotel in New York is nice. There are a few around but I recommend the one at Time Square. We stayed just around the corner and had drinks at the trendy little bar/lounge with music inside.Recommended for:

I Love New York. It is the one city that is so diverse. Everyday you can find something to do for free if you know where to look . Central Park offers so many neat things. I don't know another city park that has a zoo in it !!! New York City Rocks !

In general, I love the W or the Westin chain of hotels and having had a wonderful time at the Westin Time Square, I expected this to be no different.
Of course, I'm always weary when the hotel structure is not exactly like grand lobby on the first floor, bar, maybe some nice ceiling lights, etc. But in New York this is almost never the case so no complaints.
I love the W decor, the lighting, the mood that it tries to set as it pulls apart from other hotels with consistent modern flare and an elevated sense of "cool".
The rooms are small, especially if you want to book cheaply, however, I have stayed in a 250 sq ft so this was at least an upgrade. The location is self explanatory, you can't go wrong here unless you want to avoid the tourists. But even then, it's so close to the subway station and a few stops and you will be in the heart of SoHo or Upper East Side. Highly recommended, and of course the beds are heavenly!
Recreational amenities include a fitness facility. The W here is renowned for its concierge service, which will plan your NYC trip to suit all of your needs.
