If you love boutique-style chic, you'll love the W. The lounge downstairs is usually happening and a great place to grab a drink. The rooms have a bit of modern kitsch, including electric Buddhas.

If I had a choice to stay in SF for a few nights, I would stay at the W. I always loved the W Hotel chains around the world and this one is no different. The XYZ bar inside is nice to hang out for a cocktail.

Such a great location! Downtown, right at the heart of it all. The hotel has the typical "W"-feel! It's clean, super-modern, friendly. The rooms are efficient and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend it to my friends when they come into town.

The W San Fran is a great hotel choice for young professional looking to have a vibrant hotel environment. The lobby is teeming with sexy people starting a big night out. The well groomed crowd is always friendly and interesting.

This swanky hotel is located in downtown San Francisco near the Powell BART stop and across from the Moscone Center. There's a full bar upstairs (XYZ Bar) which serves well made yet pricy cocktails ($12-14) and elevated snacks like Tuna Tartar.

I stayed in the Fantastic Wow suite and it was pretty fantastic. It has a large living area with a tv and a cute sitting area. You can get the adjoining room so it is a two bedroom. For the size and price it's a pretty good deal. The W bar is a pretty popular hangout but unfortunately they are doing major construction so it's not open.

W hotels are known to be chic, funky and having a flair for fashion and fun. You certainly feel that while entering the lobby, with cocktails and wine endlessly pouring into the mouths of patrons by the bar. However upon entering the hotel room, the space is a little small compared to other hotels. There is a complimentary 'Acura' car service with a four mile local drop off. The location is convenient, right next to the MOMA - Modern Museum of Art, opposite the Yerba Buena Gardens and a few blocks away from Union Square. Staff seem attentive and try and book a corner room facing the bay.
