Accommodations are amazing, and the staff is super accommodating. The location is prime; right in the heart of downtown Seattle and walking distance to Pike Place Market. I was able to switch my room to one with a king bed instead of 2 queens, and they gave me a huge corner room with a great view. W Bar is popping on the weekend, so it's a great spot to grab a cocktail and lounge. And if you take the Downtown Airporter shuttle (r/t $25 - which is way cheaper than a $40 cab ride), there's a stop located across the street at the Fairmont.Recommended for:

Great spot to stay in Seattle if you are a W fan. You are a couple blocks away from the hub of nightlife and shopping but it's still a great spot with many restaurants nearby. This area gets quiet in the evenings and weekends since it's mainly by our financial district.

I almost want to say you can never go wrong with W hotels, they are always, consistently great so this one is not any exception to the case. I would love to be loyal to W everywhere, but there is still the awesome niche market of luxury sample traveling sites and boutique hotels all over.
The W is truly in a fantastic location for Seattle, especially if you want to go downtown a lot. You don't have to walk very far since everything is within about 3-4 blocks of the W including Pike Place and all the tourism and food you would probably want to eat.
This also means Queen Anne is a bit far and University District is almost impossible without cab or car, but generally for a weekend stay, this place is absolutely perfect. The beds, amenities, linens, towels and showers are exactly how you would expect a W to be, heavenly, so on a great deal this is a MUST stay in Seattle especially if you're visiting for the first time.Recommended for:

Maybe I'm being a little critical, but this W didn't feel like a W.
The rooms are nice, and well done like a normal W ... but the lobby and the whole experience was lacking.
The lobby is extremely small and felt more corporate than what I've learn to expect from a W. The bar area wasn't all that nice ... it just felt like a "commuter" hotel.
Even the car service was kind of lame in Seattle, where it's much more accommodating in New York, LA, and other cities.
There are some nice restaurants in the vicinity, so the location wasn't bad ... but it's not that close to the main tourist attractions.

The W Seattle is great. I love the lobby area, spacious, well decorated, lots of photo opps if you are looking for cool backdrops.
Earth & Ocean is located here and I have been here on multiple occasions even when I'm not staying at the W -- the drinks are tasty and the people watching is great.
The W is walking distance to downtown and all the fun touristy stuff. Very convenient!

When I was making business trips to Seattle, we'd also stop by the W after work for drinks. The bar here is awesome! The decor is chic, and there's definitely the cool, modern feel you expect to find at the W. Drinks are great, and the Sexy Fries...oh, delicious. Also try the Sexy Burger...also delicious!

W Seattle is one of my favorite W hotels. The staff was amazing - they greeted me by name every time I came through the lobby. Rooms and decor are classic W - a bit of style with your comfort. The only thing I found lacking was the fitness center, which was pretty small and lacked decent equipment.
