Stay here for the ultimate in swank. The rooms are fabulous; large, modern and light with amazing views of the river. Some of the restaurants in the hotel also have the same stunning view. They have a whole range of amenities from duty-free shopping and a casino to a theatre and outdoor pool (though it's only open during a couple of months in the summer). There's also a huge convention centre attached to the hotel. It has an amazing history too being one of the first hotels in Seoul. Louis Armstrong has performed here and the G20 summit has also been held here.
The only down side is it's pretty far away from everything. There is a shuttle bus to take you from the subway to the hotel, but it’s still far from the main tourist areas. Great for the ultimate hotel experience, but not for the avid sightseer I fear.Recommended for:

This is by far one of my favorite hotels to visit in Seoul. The W hotels have a reputation for being very chic, and this branch is no different. Though the rooms are a bit out of my usual price range (300-400 per night), I would definitely visit to have a cocktail in their lobby bar after losing all of my money in the casino next door. Yes, that's right: Casinos are illegal in Korea, except for foreigners, and there is a nice casino attached to the W hotel (but owned by the Sheraton, which is also next store). If you win big, you can afford a night at the W, which means you'll get to sleep in a big comfy bed, take a steam shower, or soak in the jacuzzi tubs. It's definitely the stereotypical luxury hotel experience, but that can be fun every once in awhile. One minor setback is that this hotel is pretty far east, making it hard to get anywhere else in the city.Recommended for:

I really enjoyed the single night I spent at this hotel last month. The standard rooms are really large and bright. Mine had a king-size pillowtop bed, panoramic windows overlooking a wooded hillside, a large wall-mounted flatscreen and a cool bathroom with separate WC, shower stall and glassed-in bathtub (could be awkward if you're just sharing the room with a friend). The staff was also super friendly and helpful and the views from the lobby restaurants and hopping bar-lounge were great.
On the downside the hotel is to the far east of the city and about a $20 cab ride from the main sites. It took about 2 hours to get there from Incheon airport, and room rates starting around $345 seemed a bit high.

This is my wife's favorite hotel. I believe it's the only W Hotel that was designed and built from the ground up. It's a bit far (30mins+ from COEX) from most of the active districts in Seoul, but if you want style, great rooms and excellent service stay here. On weekends, the energy is good since like any W there is a lobby/lounge scene.
Dining options at this luxury hotel include a restaurant and a bar/lounge. There is a business center on site. Onsite parking is complimentary. Additional amenities include room service during limited hours, a safe deposit box at the front
Guestrooms at W Seoul Walkerhill offer minibars and coffee/tea makers. Guests can channel-surf the cable/satellite television. For a surcharge, guests can use the in-room wired high-speed Internet access. All guestrooms at W Seoul Walkerhill are non-smoking.
