*W STANDS FOR WOWSERS**
OMG. I want to own a piece of this W property.
All 511 units faced the ocean with unobstructed views, all units had 9 foot ceilings, 5 1350 sq. ft bungalows, and all condo owners had the option of participating in the W Hotels rental program?!!
HOOK IT UP.
The exterior of the hotel exudes modern Miami glam without sacrificing the tropical beach zen-like decor.
At the entrance, a Collection of Sanrio sculptures, 'Hello Kitty', 'My Melody' and 'Miffy' attracted us Asian ladies IMMEDIATELY.
Palm trees swayed and welcomed us as we passed by the chic Mr Chow and Soleá. Was told that there were six cool bars as we lingered and relaxed in the Living Room.
Location was also ideal. Walking distance to nearby restaurants, clubs, and other hotels. Convenient and beautiful? Wow.
We enjoyed laying in the FULL SERVICE pool area with a very friendly staff. We took advantage of the private beach area as well. With reclining lounge chairs and fresh towels, we were in suntanning heaven.
The W South Beach was my favorite hotel in SoBe for obvious reasons: upscale, beautifully designed, and wonderful amenities for the refined traveler.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Recommended for:

My girlfriends and I stopped by the W (June 2011), and it was a very lively scene although a bit of an older crowd the night we went. Overall, it was a great vibe, but didn't stay too long because we were looking for a spot for dancing which isn't what you'll find at the bar or pool here. You'd have to go to Wall next door.
Btw, do stop by for insanely cute, giant HELLO KITTY statues in front of the main entrance. I died.Recommended for:

Achingly hip South Beach hotel which makes you feel as if you're arriving more at a nightclub than a place to stay - when I arrived at night there was even a velvet rope in front of the main entrance! Room was fabulous, very crisp and clean contemporary design but I couldn't help feeling the little whimsical branded descriptions for everything from towels down to the spare toilet roll was a slight overkill. I'd stay again but think there are much better value places in the area.Recommended for:

The most luxurious and beautiful W Hotel I’ve ever set foot in. If you get drinks at the Living Room, be prepared to drop $$$$. Their club, Wall attracts a glamorous see and be seen crowd. Their pool Wet is gorgeous, but service is slow. If you want to go all out and splurge during your stay in SoBe, this is where to do it.Recommended for:

W hotels are AMAZING but this hotel takes the cake for the tops in W hotels. The ocean view from our room was very pretty and I believe every room has an ocean view. You can lay by the pool or on the beach and the very accommodating wait staff are there for your cocktail or food order. Will definitely stay here the next time my wife and I are in Miami.

Wonderful new hotel, directly on the beach. Inside there many pieces of famous artists, such as Damien Hirst and also some nice shops. Close to the garden there is a small corner with "hair chair" in a "mountain style". there's a nice dining area, just outside in front of the beach. The hotel is famous also for the restaurant, very stylish.

I stayed at the W in the first 6 months of its opening and my first visit to south beach and it was an incredible experience. As soon as you walk in, you are attacted to the beautiful design. The lobby area is filled with amazing lounges with lots of comfortable seating, plush cushioning and coffee table books. The lobby is very colorful and i loved every fixture that they put into the lobby. Check in was extremely welcoming and you felt so trendy checking in. Since they had a reatively low hotel occupancy and they were new, they upgraded me to a suite that blew my mind. The suite had a full kitchen, an incredible living room, a separate tv room, a massive bathroom with a tub and standing rain shower and 2 balconies. They room was equipped with a great docking station with amazing speakers so i immediately popped my ipod in there and danced around my room because i was so happy. The balconies had great views of the pool/beach area. The amazing room was just the start. The pool was probably my favorite pool i have ever had the pleasure of using. It has amazing lounge chairs and cabanas and the staff is entriely young model/actress wannabees that take your drink orders. As soon as you sit down, someone comes with your towel service, iced water and a menu. The beach access is also really nice and they have tons of umbrellas anf lounges for hotel guests. As a platinum guest the use of the umbrellas and lounges are complimentary and the serivce is great. In the evening, the pool area becomes a lounge and people are dressed to the nines hanging out. This property also has a very exclusive, almost only bottle service club that opened up a few months after my stay. The W also has some great restaurant options- a spanish inspired restaurant that serves a great brunch and Mr. Chow that attracts the celebrity crowd. You can also use their Acura service if its available to take you down to the center of South Beach. This is quite the unbeliveable hotel/resort.Recommended for:

Arriving at the W South Beach feels like getting an insider’s view of the Real Housewives of Miami. Star treatment from the hotel’s super-chic staff will make sure you leave feeling like a cast member.
The rooms, the pool and the whatever/whenever service make the W South Beach truly exceptional. I stayed in a suite, with beach front views, a floor to ceiling chandelier, a bathroom that I am pretty sure is the size of a standard NYC studio apartment and a living area large enough to throw a pretty serious hotel party. It’s the details that make it, my personal favorite was a CD pre-loaded for you that was always playing soothingly after the room was made up. We only stayed for 3 nights and the concierges remembered our names. Like I said, it’s in the details. I’m a general fan of the W’s whatever/whenever service. It provided us with impressive restaurant recommendations and reservations all around South Beach and handled all the last minute changes we thrust upon with ease and politeness. Ask for anything - extra shampoo, more towels, ice, newspaper – and it’s all handled promptly.
Now let’s talk pool – this is what brings the Real Housewives vibe home. It’s a gorgeous pool. Seriously, it looks exactly like the pictures on the site. No deception here. I’m not sure if all the guests are cool, or if you just feel cool hanging out here (probably the latter). Service is frequent, attentive and polite. You want to order iced coffee and it’s not on the menu, you get it. You never have to search out help, or really leave your chair at all if you don’t want to. The vibe is lively but the set up doesn’t make you feel crowded. It’s an adult crowd, not like the pool scene you get at a lot of hotels with kids all over the place. There were some kids there, but they just didn’t dominate the atmosphere. I suppose they were somewhat outnumbered, and the set-up also lets you avoid them. You want to sit here all day long.
I want to go back now…

In South Beach the action revolves around the hotels. This hotel is a hot spot featuring glamorous contemporary art, the night club The Wall, and the restaurants Mr Chow and the newest hot spot The Dutch. During Art Basel there will be dozens of parties at this hotel and great people watching in their Living Room Lounge.

Perfect South Beach location! Great room decor. Friendly staff. In-room bathrooms are lighted very well. Great use of color in the rooms & around the property.
We stayed in the ocean-front building of the Hotel. It was a bit noisy at night, but bearable.
Don't miss dining at The News Cafe, which is right below the ocean-front building of Hotel at South Beach.
Breakfast served at the rooftop pool was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Great view up there, too.
