Absolutely scrumptious! I had my first experience with Wafels and Dinges (translation: Belgian waffles and toppings) when they were giving them away, and have since returned to actually purchase them. The first time, I got a WMD (Wafel of Mass Deliciousness) which is a waffle piled with every topping you want. I got mine with speculoos (crushed graham cracker paste), Belgian chocolate, strawberries and whipped cream - high calorie heaven! I've been back since and purchased simpler creations, usually involving some combination of speculoos, or Belgian chocolate, fruit and ice cream. If I'm hanging out in Central Park with an out-of-towner, I'll often bring them to the cart outside the Time Warner Center to give a wafel and some dinges a try. Their Belgian hot chocolate is also pretty good (though not as good as Burdick's). If you're out and about and in need of a sweet treat, you could do a lot worse than Wafels and Dinges. (*Note - I was just looking at their website, and I notice that they now offer savoury wafels as well!)

I don't know what else to say except I had some really good Brussels Wafels here. Dangerously crispy, perfectly airy and light with just the right amount of sweetness. These wafels are amazing. I was quite shocked to fine wafels of this quality from a mere food trunk.
The Leiges though, fell short a little. I have always favors Leiges over Brussels but the Leiges here are a little too dense. It should really more airy and chewy.
Still a 5 stars review because the wafels are really great. $5 a piece and comes with only 1 topping. These goodies are actually not cheap. Fortunately, you really don't need a lot of topping for them. Just the speculoos sauce and maybe some fruits are all you need.

Wafels & Dinges serves up some of the tastiest waffles in New York thanks to its waffle food truck. I had the Bobby Flay throwdown. It was the waffle Bobby Flay made for a food competition against Wafel & Dinges. He ultimately lost, but Wafel & Dinges graciously included his peanut butter powdered sugar waffle on their menu. I loved it!

Like so many good food trucks, this bright yellow truck has also become a permanent store, but nothing can replace a late-night waffle from the truck's window. Get it with speculos, their magic gingerbread cookie spread, or try and be healthy with bananas, strawberry, and whipped cream. The waffles are cooked to order in two different styles (if you're a vegetarian request no lard to be used) and topped however you like them!

There are several Wafels & Dinges yellow trucks scattered in Manhattan. I had my first order in front of Columbus Circle. I had “De Bom”, which comes with a scoop of ice cream. As for the toppings (dinges), I went with “unlimited dinges”, or the WMD – Wafel of Massive Deliciousness. I picked Belgian chocolate fudge, Spekuloos spread, bananas, walnuts, and Nutella.
I have a huge sweet tooth. So it wasn’t long before all this “massive deliciousness” disappeared right under my nose. The golden waffle was fluffy and slightly crunchy and crispy on the outside – and the toppings appropriately complimented the entire treat without any overpowering sweetness. This is the perfect snack after a stroll in Central Park. I’m planning to get every single topping next time!

Most awesomest wafflest waffles ever!! I had bookmarked this cart before going to NYC, but when I read that it was a cart I thought it was gonna be a moving food truck that I would never find. But walking out of Central Park on the way to the Apple store, lo and behold there it was right there!! When I passed by the cart and read the name, I squealed of excitement while the bf wondered what was wrong with me.
He got the waffle ice cream sandwich with gingerbread waffle, or was it gingerbread ice cream?? I got the WMD waffle with unlimited dinges! I just asked the worker to make me something, whatever was the best combo. They were super nice by the way! He put spekuloos spread, strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate and powdered sugar. Bomb-diggity-bomb! The spekuloos spread is made of gingerbread I think. The texture is kind of like a runny peanut butter or almond butter. I think it would have been even more delicious with some bananas. I posted pictures of both items. A must try if you are in NY!
