Wailana Coffee house is your typical diner. It's located next to the Hale Koa hotel, and it caters to lots of tourists.
What I like about this place is that it's open 24 hours. Another thing I like is their low prices.
Service was fast. We got our food fast. And the place was clean. It's a good place to go to for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. I like it because breakfast in many other places in Waikiki is a lot more expensive.
I like to save money. ;)

Why do I go to Wailana Coffee House you ask? One, because it's friggin CHEAP...and second...I'm probably DRUNK...HELLO PEOPLE!!!! Why else would you go here? Because of the AMAZING SERVICE and 5 COURSE DINNER EXTRAVAGANZA? Maybe it's the AWESOME out of date ambient interior decorating? Perhaps it's the INSANELY INCREDIBLE SALAD BAR beyond your wildest dreams? I DOUBT it's any of those... What I DON'T doubt is you are here for some cheap grindz that fill da belly anytime of the day or you have no where else to be or sober up at 4:00AM in the morning then with a endless cup of joe to wake u TFU! Yeah you can go to Denny's in Waikiki or several other spots, but it's just not as fun because the weirdo's that show up here at all hours of the night are well worth the stories you are going to tell for weeks to come. This place gets 5 stars...why? Because it does what it's suppose to do...FEED YEAH FACE with ONO CHEAP BREAKFAST GRINDZ and sober you A$$ up with endless coffee so you don't go driving home drunk and kill someone. If you go to a place that does what it's suppose to do you get 5 stars people...What more is there to say.

This is a Hawaii / Waikiki Institution. Great value, great variety of food and how can you not love it being open 24 hours x 365 days. Its not a swanky spot but its a classic and great for groups too.

The Wailana Coffee House is a great place to eat, as long as you are trying to have something from the breakfast menu. I tried my hand at the all-you-can-eat pancake option, and was very satisfied, in addition to being pleasantly surprised to find out that you can change up your pancake flavorings after each round you finish off. However, I also had the misfortune of trying the corn-beef hash and a burger, which both were dreadful. The hash is one of those things that is hit or miss, but the burger tasted like they ground plastic into the meat. I honestly have never had a burger from anywhere (fast food included) that was as terrible as the one I 'enjoyed' here. Still, they eek out two stars thanks to a quality breakfast menu, so if it's AM style food you are looking for, don't let this negative review deter you.
