Ko at The Fairmont Kea Lani

    11 reviews

Ko's at The Fairmont Kea Lani offers delicious cuisine based on the multicultural cuisine of the sugar cain plantation days of Hawaii. Ko gets high praise from me for also featuring a gourmet gluten free, raw, and macrobiotic menu. Kamaaina get 50% off all food from 11:30-2:30pm for lunch and 5-6pm and 8-9pm for dinner.

Happy hour at Monkeypod Kitchen is a great deal. Half off non-seafood appetizers, $8 craft cocktails (shown here: Makawao Ave & Monkeypod Mai Tai), and $9 wood-fire pizzas like Hamakua Mushroom with Truffle Oil. Live music and views of the sun setting over the ocean.

Pretty standard bar food, but if you go on the nights when there is live music it is one of the best ways to spend your night on Maui.

    Spago

    14 reviews

This restaurant is first class. The food looks like art, and it tastes even better! Some nice restaurants are stingy with their portions -- Spago is not! It's the perfect restaurant for the Four Seasons where it's located.

    DUO

    8 reviews

In my opinion, DUO (located at the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea) is the best steak house on Maui. The Washimi-Hawaiian Origin American Style Kobe Beef Flat Iron - Roasted Shishito Peppers, Ponzu Sauce is a must. I also love the DUO Tartare - Natural Beef, Olive Oil, Lemon, Grana Padana, Island Snapper, Cilantro, Ginger. If you're in the mood ...

    Tommy Bahama's Tropical Cafe

    8 reviews

Between the breeze and live music on the patio, the ambiance here is lovely. The coconut fish and lobster bisque are delicious but overall this place is pretty overpriced, especially when there are so many good restaurants in the area! We go during happy hour to get cheaper drinks and appetizers, definitely the way to do it.

Alan Wong's Amasia @ Grand Wailea

I love the Alan Wong's restaurant on O'ahu (so does Pres Obama), it's one of the best in fine dining on the island. His notable mentions: James Beard award winner for Best Chef in Pacific Northwest, and founding member of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. Updated review: amazing 5-course pre-fixe meal. I especially loved the pineapple shave ice dessert at the end, ...

Im a big fan of Bev Gannon's Hali'maile General Store so I was very excited about trying out Gannon's.
