The Waldorf Astoria is the crown jewel of The Canyons Resort hotels: luxurious, elegant, and exclusive. And, in keeping with the regal theme, guests are treated like royalty. Each is appointed a personal concierge who does it all, from planning airport transportation to making dinner reservations. Although not a ski-in/ski-out property, the Waldorf lets skiers arrive at the slopes in style via a private gondola. Rooms have a cosmopolitan flair, but thanks to dark wood accents and fireplaces, offer the warmth of a mountain lodge. The hotel is U-shaped with a heated outdoor pool as the centerpiece, and room views are either of this pool or mountain/valley views. Larger units come with gorgeous kitchens complete with Viking appliances. Should you dine in-house, The Slopes by Talisker restaurant focuses on the “living well concept,” which presents nutritionally balanced, flavorful fare. Living well might also mean visiting the Golden Door Spa for the popular Zen lavender treatment. It’s 80 minutes of bliss, including a warm stone foot massage that will make ski boot-sore feet feel divine.Recommended for:

Great hotel and great, friendly, helpful staff. They have shuttles you can call that take you to and from resorts and the downtown. I was very pleased with Golden Door Spa as well. Be sure to dine at Spruce restaurant located in the hotel. We enjoyed it very much and dined her twice.

I stayed here during Sundance. It was recently opened when I stayed there and they were just working out the kinks so I'm not going to be super harsh. The remote control fire place in my room was really nice.
The night crew was awesome. i would hang around and talk to them after everything closed.
It is really far away from the main street. Ok it's not really far away but it isn't really close and there aren't any of the Sundance buses near it. I probably wouldn't stay here again because of the location.
