There are two key words that made me fall in love with Penmaenuchaf Hall: Bjork and bats. That oversimplifies things quite a bit, because this magnificent country house and Welsh B&B is packed with surprises. There are 21 acres of expertly manicured gardens and sloping hillsides to explore (with intriguing discoveries like a small lake and outdoor apiary), quaint outdoor ...Popular with

What a lovely little hostel. It's so... quaint. Located in a house just across the river from the city center, this out-of-a-storybook home has been converted into a little hostel. With co-ed rooms that sleep 4-6, a beautiful garden in the back, and all the tea and toast you can eat -- well, I fell in love. After a day ...Popular with

A fantastic hotel, with a brilliant golf course, host to the 2010 Ryder's cup and was deemed to be one of the best golf courses in the world. Not only is it a golf course, it hosts many other activities, such as the high Treetop Towers, minigolf, archery, and much much more. The Celtic Manor is much more than just ...Popular with

This is a great hotel. The golf is not why I stay there, its the view, the service and the spa. The spa has a great pool, sauna, stem room, aroma room, and hydrotherapy. You have to ry it to appreciate its brilliance :) The rooms are good, but the best rooms even include a double balcony with views.

This hotel was like Faulty Towers meets the perfect country getaway. The couple who ran the place were like a much happier and saner Mr. & Mrs. Faulty, the rooms were comfortable, though dated, they provided everything we needed for a nice rest after our previous night of sleeping in the car. The hotel, which was more like a bed ...Popular with
