Amazing. As a person who totally loves castles, Wales has lot's of it, and Cardiff's Castle has a really interesting history.

Wales' best stadium and largest too. When it's full, it has one of the best atmospheres that I have ever experienced. You can get tours around it (I believe so), but the best time to experience the atmosphere here is when Wales play a rugby match, either against the mighty All Blacks, or in the six nations (especially when Wales ...

Beautiful park right by the river and castle in central Cardiff. You can catch a boat here to head off toward the bay or just walk around the grounds. There is also a great little tea house right by the entrance that is excellent!

Top floor is Art, bottom floor is Natural History. Top floor has a solid collection of Monet and other pieces from various periods as well as an interesting modern art section. The bottom floor I found to be a little silly. If you've been to any great Natural History museums (NYC, Vienna, etc) this one doesn't really offer anything new ...

A very good and interesting castle to visit. The best time to come is mid-July when the Big Cheese festival is here!

A full day out for all the family. Best here when it is sunny weather as everything is fully operational, but regardless of weather, you get a real feel of Wales' history, right back to the celts and all the way up to the present and beyond. Each time you visit you learn something new every time and explore new ...

Perfect! This castle in known as Sleeping Beauty Castle. They say Walt Disney was inspired by this one to create the one in Magic Kingdon at California. Totally made me feel as living years ago!

An interesting building as it used to be Wales' National Assembly, which has now been replaced by another unique (and very modern) building further on down.

As we were wandering, around the the castle grounds, we heard the retort of a cannon being fired. Surprised, we headed towards, the place where we thought the sound had come from. The retort of another cannon sounded and was joined by the beating of drums and shrill whistle of fifes. Commands to march were yelled out; we had arrived ...

This museum was especially fascinating to me coming form a country where you only read about Romans and can never walk where they walked, see what they wore or understand how they lived. They invented so many things we still use today, and many things we should be using like key-rings. Rings with KEYS on them?! Why don't we use ...

    Chepstow Castle

What is it about castles that speaks to some innate human need? Seriously, who doesn't love visiting castles? I'm a big fan of the old and scraggly ones -- crumbling stones, moats, the whole works. Chepstow is like castle perfection for me, then. I wasn't the biggest Wales fan, but this was my favorite stop in the entire country. Commissioned ...

It's good to read into the history here, but what you see in the picture is what you get. There isn't really anything else much to it, but would be good for kids to run around and explore.
