    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    18 reviews

My favourite place to stay in Florida, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is unlike any other hotel. The building closely surrounds four savannas filled with exotic wildlife - imagine strolling out in the morning and seeing zebras and giraffes right from your balcony, and right close by. From the snack bar by the pool to the luxury restaurant upstairs, all the ...

I've stayed here twice now and love the place. Like all the Disney resorts, it has lots of character. The turn-of-the-century boardwalk feel is fun and nostalgic. It was an easy walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios from here and, of course, there's transportation to all the other parks. The rooms were excellent, with great views of the lagoon ...

A large resort with great theming. Be prepared to pay extra for a preferred room or to walk a lot if you will be enjoying the food court or large pool! But there are also several quiet pools, so there should be one nearby! It is so calm and beautiful in the mornings! The price is high, but the convenience ...

I stayed here with my family on one of our stays in Disney World. I think it might be one of the lesser known and more affordable Disney Resort options. Personally, I loved it! we had our own little cabin just for the family. It was adorable! It even had a little kitchen area inside. Very nice! Disney quality!

I stayed that the Polynesian Resort on one trip to Disneyworld (and I usually switch it up each time). As with most Disney resorts, everything is a little over the top, but with a Polynesian theme here.

I stayed that the Port Orleans Resort on one trip to Disneyworld (and I usually switch it up each time). There's a central lake and and a beach, along with a pool and hot tub. It's one of Disney's mid-range hotels, so it's a bit cheaper than the premium resorts.

One of our favorite aspects about the Yacht Club was the yachtsman greeter at the main entrance. The kids looked forward to seeing him. Rooms were nice (great water-view location). Loved the pool area (there's SAND at the bottom; feels like the ocean...in a good way).

    Disney's Pop Century Resort

    Hotel Class:

The Pop Century is my favourite of the Disney value resorts. The shadow boxes of vintage novelties and the retro décor definitely give it a level of class that sets it apart from the others. They seemed to tone down the usual sugary-neon pop of the All-Star resorts, although they do stick with the large displays outdoors. But this is ...

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were beautiful. Our room was on the water side, but very close to the end of the building near Magic Kingdom. At night we could stand outside our door and watch the fireworks over Space Mountain then walk through our room to the patio and watch the Lighted Water Parade. The best ...

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter

Disney has never been known to miss a detail when it comes to creating an "immersive experience", and the French Quarter is no exception. In the massive complex of resorts at Walt Disney World, the French Quarter is among the upper levels of the budget variety which is a pleasant surprise considering the quaint charm of the landscape. French style ...

    Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

    Hotel Class:

I am not sure why the reviews of Disney’s Coronado always make it seem more like the frog than the handsome prince. I had been briefed for a bland experience, but I found Coronado Springs to be quite charming. The fact that it is spread out did not seem like a downside to me. Strolling around the Southwestern architecture and ...

I went here ages ago back when I was just a little kid... and judging by the pictures it looks like it's changed a lot. I remember being totally sucked into the funky design and themes found all around the resort. If I liked it as a kid, I'm sure other kids have similar taste!

A classic Disney destination, the Wilderness Lodge is a rustic escape inspired by old Northwestern park lodges from the turn of the century. The huge fireplace in the lobby is a great place to gather and warm up on cool evenings, and the cabin-style décor provides a quiet and idyllic getaway.

I've stayed here several times before, and I shall be visiting again next year as this is just a superb place to stay! Love the Boardwalk area resorts mainly because of their proximity to Epcot. As Susan mentioned, exiting (and entering) Epcot via the "back way," as my kids call it, almost makes us feel like VIPs because few people know about it. It's a cinch. Our favorite feature of this resort is the pool area. Kids of all ages love the beachy ...

I'm going to group my review of Disney's value resorts together. I categorize them exactly the same. If you want tons of theming at minimal price with excellent value then I would suggest Disney's Pop Century or Disney's All Stars Resorts. The oversized whimsical tributes to pop culture, movies, sports or music makes kids eyes light up. Their pools are ...
