The Walt Disney World resort was designed with families as the priority. Yes, there are adult things to do and see. But the primary focus is on kids. Magic Kingdom is a child's dream. Where else can you imagine yourself as a pirate, princess, hero, spaceman, or Mickey's best friend.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is a second choice for kid's heaven. Disney Channel characters, Pixar, Muppets, and Star Wars. How much better does it get?
Animal Kingdom and Epcot are more educational based. The entertainment does not take a second place. But the World Showcase will not sit well with most kids.
The trick is to plan ahead. Get guide books. And check sites like this.

After travelling a good portion of the world to get a taste of different cultures, my favorite places to are Disney locations. While I enjoy Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris, nothing tops Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
People ask me why I go there again and again. Some have said my kids are spoiled by going so often. Some people enjoy going to the same summer cabin every year and for me, it's Disney World every year. As for my kids being spoiled, they just happen to be lucky that I'm going to my favorite place and they get to come with. Selfishly, I don't do it for them, I do it for myself.
I enjoy touring the resorts as much as I enjoy touring the parks. I love the experience of a thrill ride as much as I love the experience of reading a book while sitting in a rocking chair on the port of the Beach Club.
The staff is top notch and very friendly. There is always magic happening there, you just need to be open to receiving it.
Driving under the Walt Disney World Resort sign immediately makes me feel at home and comfortable.
When you visit, don't rush it. Don't be fierceful of getting your money's worth. Go well-informed, have a plan but be flexible, enjoy the little moments, marvel in the detail of everything they have to offer. Take a break in the middle of the day to re-energize yourself.
I've been there several times but still find something new to do with each visit. There is no way to take in all of the details in one vacation. Enjoy it, and know that you'll be back for more.
