Truly one of the most exhilerating experiences a westerner can have amongst the Huaorani. Marching through lush rainforest with a stone age tribe armed with spears and primitive rifles is excitement alone. But an encounter with these great pigs, and then actually having to carry them back to the village, well - that is a truly priceless experience. The meat is very tasty too!

Join Huaorani warriors on a traditional hunt for wangana, the white-lipped peccary. Wangana is an important source of protein for the Huaorani people of Bameno, as well as one of the most dangerous animals to hunt in the Amazon. Villagers trek deep into the forest for the animals and use a combination of traditional hunting spears and modern rifles.
