    Space Needle

    244 reviews

Seattle's landmark! I love seeing the Space Needle when driving along the highway because it looks so majestic against the sometimes clear blue skies. There's the restaurant at the top and you can spend time downstairs at Seattle Center too.

    Seattle Waterfront

    120 reviews

A ride on the new ferris wheel will set you back $15 and most of the games in the arcade are 50 cents. I think I'd rather spend $15 on silly arcade games than go on the ferris wheel again. The ride lasts maybe 10-15 minutes tops. The cabins are air conditioned and pretty solid, so no swinging possible. There ...

Experience Music Project / Science Fiction Museum & Hall of Fame

    114 reviews

This place is fun for the people who come to Seattle for the music. Permanent exhibits feature Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, and a room where you can get hands-on with tons of instruments and musical technology. There are also some sci-fi exhibits, but they weren't nearly as entertaining.

    Seattle Center

    72 reviews

Lots going on here, Space Needle, Science museum and EMP museum to name a few. The Chulilly Glass museum is there-- we didn't go in but peeked at the amazing glass sculptures. Out hotel was a block away so we took advantage of the monorail which drops you down town after a short but pleasant ride.

    Seattle Aquarium

    63 reviews

One of the coolest things about the Seattle Aquarium is that it's located right on Puget Sound, so a lot of the animals on exhibit there are native to the waters just beyond its walls. Limited exhibits like those featuring the Giant Pacific Octopus are fascinating, but the ongoing exhibits are just as fun. Kids love the adorable otters, while ...

    Mount Rainier National Park

    51 reviews

I loved spending a few hours here. It is great place to go for a hike or a picnic or just to visit the visitor center for some history on the mountain. They have a fun little video on the volcanic history of the mountain which is really interesting, and there is a picnic area out in front of the ...

    Fremont Troll

    59 reviews

The idea of a troll living under a bridge originates in Scandinavian folklore, but actually came into existence in Seattle when the giant Fremont Troll was created in 1990, in part to help revitalize the area. The troll, which visitors are welcome to climb on, is holding a real Volkswagen Beetle, as though he had snatched it from the road ...

    Seattle Underground Tour

    58 reviews

If you're a history buff or like to listen to stories, this is the tour for you. They talk about the alternative stories of Seattle that aren't mentioned in history books. The guides are really into it, too, which keeps it engaging. Glad I took time to try this tour out.

    Safeco Field

    53 reviews

Safeco has great visibility from every seat in the stadium. There's nothing quite like chilling out on a sunny day with a whole baseball game and a basket of fries in front of you. I gave Safeco three stars and Centurylink four because it's more fun to see teams that win. But it's a well-built stadium :).

    Alki Beach Park

    39 reviews

Alki Beach is just a block away from our vacation rental cottage. Alki is "where it's at." The beach itself is a hot spot for sunbathers, people watchers, volleyballers, skateboarders, joggers, bikers, dog walkers, runners, and much more. There's usually a great vibe down here and a mix of people - families with kids enjoying splashing in the water, teenagers ...

    University of Washington

    35 reviews

Ahh, my alma mater! I miss walking around UW sometimes just because it was so beautiful and such good exercise, really. In the springtime, the cherry blossoms bloom and people flock to take engagement photos and what not. In the summer, you'll see scantily clad students lounging around in the quad and catching those rays. In the fall, you will ...

    CenturyLink Field

    32 reviews

Home of the Seahawks (NFL) and Sounders (Major League Soccer) as well as various off-night concerts and events. The architects designed it with acoustics foremost in mind, which is why, along with Seattle's fan culture, it recently set the Guinness record for loudest crowd EVER. False Start 49ers! Fairly easy to navigate on the inside. If you want to spring ...

Located at Seattle Center beneath the much-overrated Space Needle, this museum’s premier event is the Capitol Hill Block Party's All Brow Visual Arts Program. Curated by Ghost Gallery, artists present their work in the Glasshouse and celebrate what the Block Party has come to mean to their community. Throughout the year, employees work with the Bumbershoot festival on a program ...

    Woodland Park Zoo

    28 reviews

Seattle has a really awesome zoo! It's huge and there are a bunch of different animals to see. It's a bit sad to see these animals in captivity but they are hopefully being treated well and the organization is raising research money for the animals. My favorites were the gorillas, giraffes and the petting area with the goats. The bird ...
