Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott

Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott

    Class:
    4.5
    3 reviews

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel in the heart of Chinatown. The interior has a cheery, modern Asian look that befits the location. It's convenient to the Verizon Center (home to the Wizards, Capitals, and concerts) as well as to restaurants and nightlife. Also not a bad walk to the Mall. Although not that large, rooms with a sofabed ...

    Courtyard Washington Capitol Hill/Navy Yard

    Class:

Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

This is a great hotel on a number of levels, but first and foremost I have to say this is quite possibly the most cheery and helpful staff I've ever encountered. I legitimately felt upon entering the hotel that they cared about my experience and my needs as a customers. Top notch. Beyond that, this is a hotel that hits ...

Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

I saw some other reviews below that suggested this isn't a great place to stay, but I just thought this place had a lot of class. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I loved walking into a nicely adorned and well-marbled lobby with a feel of real luxury. The rooms themselves aren't huge, and neither are amenities like the ...

    Hostelling International - Washington, DC

For a centrally-located hostel, this one is very well equipped. There's free breakfast in the morning, a 24/7 kitchen, a TV room with 500 channels and a movie collection, and a library. The dining area is cheerful and bright. You can sign up for volunteer-led tours of neighborhoods and monuments, as well as pub crawls. The Wi-Fi is free, but ...

Walking into Hotel Rouge made me feel like I was in the hip area of town. The hotel colors are bright reds and yellows and definitely a scene. The rooms have been recently remodeled with the same bright colors featured in the lobby of the hotel. I noticed a few dog bowls in the rooms. This hotel is for guests ...

    Hotel George, Washington DC

    Class:

Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

This is a sleek, boutique hotel a stone's throw from Union Station. A good bet for folks who want to be on Capitol Hill, but don't want the bustle of the bigger hotels in the neighborhood. The reception area is small, but very pretty, with a piano for guests who dare to tickle the ivories in public. Bistro bis, a ...

This is a great hotel in a great neighborhood. The staff welcomed me warmly the second i got in and the neighborhood is a great mix of residential Washington and the hopping nightlife of Adams Morgan. I was impressed with some of the finer touches in the rooms, including a tea kettle and a microwave to ensure your culinary needs ...

    Sofitel Washington DC

Excellent! - 92% of guests recommend

I love the French hotel chain, Sofitel. This one has lovely floral arrangements, changed each week. They had just brought in a cherry tree, in anticipation of the D.C.'s cherry blossom season, when I visited. And there's nothing like being greeted with a cheery, “Bonjour, Madame,” after a long day of meetings. The décor at the hotels changes with the ...

The Topaz Hotel has a lot to offer. A hip, eclectic lobby greets you when you arrive, just off from a great lobby bar (complete with full menu). The staff was a little overwhelmed when I arrived, but they were friendly and helpful with great personalities. The rooms themselves were pretty great too, clean and cool with a nice feel ...

    The Dupont Circle Hotel

    Class:
    3.5

Excellent! - 88% of guests recommend

It's easy to miss this hotel. It has a somewhat drab exterior, and could simply be mistaken for one of the many Dupont Circle apartment buildings. But I was pleasantly surprised by the inside; the hotel has had a $52 million renovation. It is part of the Doyle Collection, one of a group of urban hotels in the U.S., U.K. ...

This was a great location to see all of DC. The staff was great, the hotel was great, the breakfasts were great and had a great opportunity to get added info from other guests. You could catch the metro right up the street, and the neighborhood is comfortable, even at night. They just need to find a better parking arrangement.

This is a nice small hotel in the heart of Georgetown. It has an older feel to it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still retain it's charm. I enjoyed every stay in the hotel and the staff were attentive and friendly. Great location and nice rooms, although a bit on the small side.

    Hampton Inn Washington, DC-Convention Center

    Class:

Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

Because of it's location close to the Washington Convention Center, it's difficult to get a reservation at this Hampton Inn -- especially during the spring. It's close to Chinatown and the happening Penn Quarter neighborhood as well. There is a great deal of construction in this part of downtown, but it's worth dealing with it for the location. The rooms ...

The Windsor Inn is dated, but warm. The hotel has various rooms – some of out dated and a few are modern. The hotel has free continental breakfast and Wi-Fi. The hotel is located on the edge of Dupont Circle and downtown D.C. The majority of the rooms may be dated, but they are sizable.

When I used to work near the St. Regis, I'd walk past the hotel’s big windows and see the lobbyists eating their $300 lunches on my way to the burrito cart. My husband and I splurged on our anniversary dinner here one year and it was worth every penny. The current restaurant, the Ardour, is under renovation now and scheduled ...

This is primarily a membership hotel for people in town for corporations and government agencies. But in the winter months and on weekends, it is often open to the public. It is not particularly suited to families. There is a spacious club room upstairs that is open twenty-four hours and is big enough for meetings. WiFi and stocks of bottled ...

I've never been in a Courtyard like this one! It's in a grand old building constructed in 1891 and first remodeled back in 1912. The ground floors had been a bank. When I showed interest in the building, the concierge graciously showed me the original bank vault door that has been preserved on the lower level. The location can't be ...

It's a silly thing, but I'll never get over the thrill of having a microwave AND a mini-fridge in the hotel with me. The room really gives me a feeling of being home.
