    Topaz Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel

    Topaz Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    4 reviews

Topaz is located in Dupont Circle, but the street seems world away from the busy circle. If you blink you will miss the hotel, but once you walk in the lobby you leave the business of D.C. The hotel’s lobby is small, but lively and a great place to regroup before a night on the town. The hotel offers free ...

Where was this place when my kids were little?! A separate bedroom for the kids with bunk beds and their own TV? I totally would have snapped that up. But you can still do it! Kiss the kiddies goodnight, shut their door, pop the cork on a bottle of wine and watch A GROWNUP show. Rates are almost twice as ...

    Washington Marriott at Metro Center

    Washington Marriott at Metro Center

    Hotel Class:
    4
    4 reviews

This hotel will soon be starting a major renovation, though everything looked perfect to me already -- they just want a new look. The rooms are nice -- bright, cheery, no signs of wear or tear. The lobby isn’t fancy but it’s kept up well. Metro Center is halfway to everywhere, so you get a pretty low weekend rate (about ...

    One Washington Circle Hotel

    One Washington Circle Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    2 reviews

This hotel is just across the circle from George Washington University Hospital, and about a 7 block stroll down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House. It caters primarily to business travelers. Since the suites have kitchenettes, some folks stay one night, some stay for a couple of months. The hotel will make special financial arrangements for long term guests. I ...

    Hotel Madera

    Hotel Madera

    Hotel Class:
    4
    4 reviews

Found this Kimpton hotel online and was pleasantly surprised. We got upgraded to a room with an exercise book complete with a bike and separate tv and yoga mats. The street is clean, safe, and within walking distance of DuPont Circle. There's also a daily free wine bar from 5-6pm! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Washington-National Arboretum

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Washington-National Arboretum

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    4 reviews

This is a great hotel in an unattractive area. It rises up above signs for the highway and is ringed by McDonald’s, KFC and 7-Eleven. Only four years old, everything is in great shape and new-looking. There’s a fitness room, indoor pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast is included – you really couldn’t ask for more. The location isn’t great, ...

    Omni Shoreham Hotel

    Omni Shoreham Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    8 reviews

This hotel is cavernous; it's easy to get lost. If you are rushing off to a convention or a fundraiser there, you might miss the glory of the place. The lobby is beautiful, and spectacular. There are banners remembering the many events and personalities that have come to the Shoreham -- from a Rudy Vallee performance to the Beatles to ...

    Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C.

    Hotel Class:

I stayed here for two nights while hosting a conference. I've been here a number of times, and while it's in an odd location, it turns out to be really easy to get to and from -- the national mall is at the doorstep. The view of the river and southwest waterfront are great. If you happen to be travelling ...

    Tabard Inn

    Tabard Inn

    4.5
    7 reviews

I like the inn's locale – near boutique offices, an embassy or two, and not far from the Dupont Circle cafe and bar scene. The Tabard Inn's own restaurant attracts an interesting crowd – not only hotel guests, but neighbors, journalists and people in the arts scene. It's relaxed, but part of the city's action at the same time. Originally ...

    Willard InterContinental Washington

    Willard InterContinental Washington

    Hotel Class:
    5
    6 reviews

This is, perhaps, the most storied hotel in Washington. It's only a block or two from the White House. Every U.S. President since the 1850's has been a guest or visitor there. The lobby is just beautiful. You almost feel as though you are carried back in time. When I was there, afternoon tea was being served. It felt quite ...

I wish I could give 99 stars to this place. Amazing restaurants, fantastic little rooms and cubbies to sit and work during the day, beautiful guest rooms (no room is the same as another) with scrumptious duvets and crisp sheets. There was a TV in the bathroom mirror....you know, since I need to check my stock prices while I'm brushing ...

Hotel Palomar Washington DC - a Kimpton Hotel

Hotel Palomar Washington DC - a Kimpton Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    4
    7 reviews

This Dupont Circle Kimpton hotel is about five years old, so the amenities are very new and modern. I stayed in a room on the 9th floor, and could even see the top of the Washington Monument from our window. The double room was HUGE - it could have fit another 2 queen beds and still have enough space for ...

    The Ritz-Carlton, Washington DC

    Hotel Class:

    6 reviews

This is a nice hotel, obviously being a Ritz Carlton, but the rooms are ok. I suppose you could walk around to places, but it seems kind of far to walk. Depending on what you are looking for I may try another hotel that is closer to the landmarks.

We loved this hotel. It was a great price for the location in the city here a lot of hotels can be $50-$100 more. The lobby is a bit dated, but the room was totally new with great finishes. I will certainly stay there again, if I need a place in Washington.

The hotel is situated on Thomas Circle, which is located to downtown DC, metro, and walk-able to many tourist attractions. The hotel has large rooms and some rooms have kitchenettes. Crowne Plaza Hotel The Hamilton-Washington DC

I felt luxury the second I walked into the lobby. This hotel is for the luxury traveler and business traveler with a great travel budget. The rooms are rather small and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families with small children. The hotel has an executive floor for business travelers to unwind from the chaos of D.C. The restaurant 14K ...

I walked in the lobby of the hotel and knew this is a small boutique hotel that is perfect for experiencing D.C. and feeling like a local. It’s located in the Dupont Circle area and is central to restaurants, monuments, and the heart of DC. I’m glad that hotel has complimentary Wi-Fi because you can stay connected. Four Seasons

    Hotel Class:

The Four Seasons is really an amazing hotel! This is where a lot of the who's who of the political, entertainment and sports world stay when they are in DC. Just sitting in the lobby, depending on the parade can be worth a trip. The rooms are great, like any city hotel, they are big enough, but not huge. The ...
