    11 reviews

DC based brewery with Great Kolsch beer, a large U shaped bar with attentive bartenders, and incredible happy hour prices on appetizers like hummus and pita bread plate that includes fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and carrots. Relaxed atmosphere with cyclists and runners sharing the bar with people just off work. Located near Metro Center stop and about a mile from ...

    GOOD STUFF EATERY

    4
    11 reviews

So while in DC visiting a friend, I made mention that I wanted to stop by Spike Mendelson's burger joint just to try the toasted Marshmallow shake alone. Well, when it came time to even think about going to the eateries on my list, I couldn't remember any of them and I couldn't find the email, so I said oh ...

Nice bar part way between Logan Circle and U St. They have some pretty good happy hour drink specials. However, their biggest draw is probably their all you can drink weekend brunch.

    Old Ebbitt Grill

    9 reviews

I mean...it's a really popular place, they have a kids' menu and it's full of history. The clam chowder was fine but not outstanding. Actually, everything we had was just fine. We waited an hour for a table for 'just fine'. Meh.

    Baked & Wired

    4.5
    8 reviews

Avoid the lines at Georgetown cupcake and head toward the waterfront. Oh, wait...you'll often find shorter lines outside of Baked & Wired too. They sell some of the better coffee in DC, so waltz right past the lines to the right and grab yourself a cup. In addition, on that side of the store you'll find non-cupcake baked goods. I ...

    Hard Rock Cafe

    4
    10 reviews

This location gets a plus for having 2 gift shops. If 1 is super crowded just make your way through the restaurant to the 2nd one that's not right off the street. There is also a 2nd story where you don't feel completely cut off from the rest of the place as you can look down into the bar. It's ...

    La Tasca

    4.5
    7 reviews

Excellent tapas restaurant in the heart of DC's Chinatown. Nice location, great service, and good food. It can get pretty loud, so it may not be the best place for a first date, but otherwise is a great choice

    Toki Underground

    5
    6 reviews

One of the smallest restaurants on H St. if not in all of DC, Toki Underground and their ramen noodle focused menus was a badly needed addition to the DC food scene. We love their veggie and chicken soup bowls. Their sake selection is also fantastic - we ended up sampling three or four sakes over the course of the ...

Good pizza crust, but unless you're a big fish fan I'd avoid the calabrese with a super strong anchovy taste.

    El Centro DF

Everything Tequila! Over a hundred brands on hand to choose from while listening to good Latin music and enjoying the special of the day. Tuesday Tacos featured swordfish, cilantro, pineapple and cucumbers. At $2 each they were a steal. Three levels, all very different. First floor is laid back, the basement hops more during the late night but is fun ...

    Oyamel Cocina Mexicana

    4
    7 reviews

Oyamel is a Spanish-influenced tapas restaurant. we had their guacamole and some mini tacos, but the thing that impressed me the most was their hearts of palm salad, which contained julienned hearts of palm, radish, orange, grapefruit, and avocado with a tamarind dressing. SO GOOD. We also ordered dessert. We couldn't get enough.

    Lincoln

The theme surprisingly enough is Abraham Lincoln. Everything from the paintings on the wall, to the penny's on the floor all have Lincoln's mug . It's a modern spin on a classic theme.

Focuses on latin food. Cafe Citron is quite large with areas on the ground floor and the second floor where you can sit down and eat. The basement has a nice dive bar feel where you can get some good mojitos.

    Rosa Mexicano - DC

    4.5

Dinner was great. We shared the guacamole and had drinks to start - enjoyed the white wine Rosa sangria. I had the shrimp brochettes for dinner and the shrimp were so plump and delicious. A friend had the red snapper, which I might order next time, and the mixed grill, which looked perfect for a meat lover. For dessert I ...
