Description

Located in the Great Pacific North West, the beautiful state of Washington is a diverse and interesting destination. This area has a unique combination of incredible natural beauty and metropolitan life that make enjoying a wide variety of activities easy and quick. The region of the state around the Puget Sound holds most of its population, and is a bustling economic and industrial center. Industries like Boeing, Microsoft, and of course Starbucks are based in this area of Washington. Seattle, the state’s largest city, is the emerald of the Puget Sound and is home to the iconic Space Needle. On top of the Space Needle, residents not just from Seattle are treated to an interesting skyline, as Mt. Rainer is viewable rising above the clouds from most areas around the Sound. Fishing is great here, and many charters operate out of Seattle and Tacoma. The area to the west of the Puget Sound contains the amazing Olympic Forest region. full-on rain forests with mostly pine as apposed to leafy trees. Instead of seeing tropical flowers and palms, you can look forward to seeing amazing mosses and evergreens in this area of the state. There are also miles and miles of great beaches on Washington’s western coast that are totally swim-able during the warmer months. The eastern portion of the state is home to Spokane, and supports a thriving agricultural industry. Washington may not be as high profile as his west coast brother California, but there is still plenty to do and see in this heartland of the Pacific North West.
