Cheap standard stores like Hollister,Aeropostale, Dillards, and Victoria's Secret. I enjoy shopping here at Lush and The Body Shop. The food court is small and seems rather odd to me. The only thing I have eating here is from Wow Bao which is located at the main entrance. There is also the American Girl store with a cafe inside. Good for a family with small girls. It is always busy here and the place is rather small. If you prefer quieter places and a bit extra on your wallet ( but not enough for luxury shopping) there is always The Shops at 900 accross the street as an option.Recommended for:

If you love shopping, Water Tower Place is a must stop while in Chicago. Located in the heart of Chicago on Michigan Avenue, there are plenty of regular and high-end shops to browse through. There’s also a huge food area to grab a quick snack or to have a nice sit-down meal. Parking can get expensive though.

This was the first "mall" stepped foot into in Chicago. I'm more used to malls in suburban areas where there's a large parking lot and a clear entry / exit and only two stories, so this was a treat.
It has so many stores I lost count and the American Girl place here is insane. I've never been into these dolls but have you seen the size of this store? You can EAT with your dolls! Kind of creepy...
They have a great selection of typical stores from Macy's to AE that you will find in a mall. Also that Bao Wow place isn't bad either, which took me by surprise.
This is definitely a worth while visit although its not as fun as say the boutiques around the area and Magnificent Mile.
